I was already impressed with your brand, but this really took things to the next level! I had a look at several of your other coffees and I will be trying them in the near future.Since my review I have also tried Dark Mystery, Pacific Northwest Espresso, and Arrosto Scuro (Italian Roast) and enjoyed all of them. Barrie House cannot be found in any retail stores where I live, so I plan on taking some of these cups to work with me and sharing with my fellow coffee drinkers who may not have heard of this brand.Original Review:Barrie House French Roast Extra Bold Single Serve Coffee Pods, 24 PackBold and flavorful. One of the best K-Cups that I have had in a while, better than Peet's. Caffeine content was tolerable and did not have me climbing the walls. I am definitely a fan and I will be buying this again.My only complaint is with Amazon and not Barrie House. Coffee got shipped in plastic bags from Amazon warehouse. So retail packaging had been damaged enough to where some k-cups had fallen outside of of the box. Fortunately all cups appear to be usable.I brewed this on the 6oz setting on the K-Supreme Plus. Strength setting, level 3. Temperature setting, level 2.

I read reviews and this was rated really high. I wasn't impressed with the flavor. It has like a 'bite' to it. This will go in the trash.

Update: While I did enjoy the taste of this coffee, I won't be buying it again. If you suffer from acid reflux or GERD, this coffee will cause you a great deal of discomfort. The stomach/esophageal discomfort I felt was so bad, I was starting to think the worst. I had surgery for pancreatic cancer almost 6 years ago, and I was starting to think it came back. I feel so much better since I stopped drinking this coffee. Do your stomach a favor and buy something else.I got tired of my French Press and pour over, so I decided to put my Keurig back to work. Descaled it and was using the reusable filter and holder, but got bored and decided to try this coffee.First impression from first couple of cups was that it was pretty good. Then I had trouble with a kcup. It failed and I had to clean up the mess. I didn’t hold that against it and tried another one, which was fine. But then, I came across a kcup that didn’t let all the water drip through and I got less than 10 oz of coffee. Noticeably less. Happened twice so far. So, some of the kcups work perfectly, and some don’t.I’ve used 6 and it’s been 50-50 As long as I don’t have to clean up any more messes with the remaining cups, I don’t mind so much about the pods that don’t give me the right amount of coffee, especially because they’re recyclable. For me, that makes up for it.

This really is a good, strong espresso coffee and just what I was looking for in flavour. The unfortunate part is that the plastic of the pod is either too thick or of a type that the lower spike of my Keurig brewer can't always penetrate. I've solved this problem, when it happens, by removing the unpierced pod from the brewer, spearing through the dent that the lower spike has made with a shish kebab skewer (a small nail would work just as well), then replacing the pod into the brewer and pressing on the button for the amount of water I want. This works fine, but I'm concerned that, unless the manufacturer corrects this problem, people will stop buying this product and it will no longer become available. The manufacturer should be informed of this problem as soon as possible.

The Barrie House Breakfast Blend has turned out to be a delicious medium roast coffee, and I like that it's Fair-Trade and organic at an excellent price. The only issue I had is that care needs to be taken to push the Keurig machine's handle down firmly enough to pierce the capsule's bottom -- listen to it pop, otherwise, the brewing process will abruptly stop. I have never encountered this capsule issue with other Barrie House blends, and it might have been the specific lot received, but it's something to be aware of, and it doesn't take away from the great taste of this coffee.

EDIT. I am in my fourth box of this coffee, I enjoyed 72 glorious cups of coffee. On my fourth box the label, coffee, and I assume blend have changed drastically. I can no longer drink these tabs and I am stuck with 23 because Amazon won’t take them back and Barrie House whom I emailed over a week ago did not return my complaint.I am thinking about shifting any grocery purchases back to a grocery store as I could always return any bad item.So such luck here, and I greatly miss my favourite cup of coffee😞.I am no coffee snob, and I prefer medium to light roast coffee. My guess would be that this is less then 10% Kona coffee as the Hapa means blend.. Real Kona is very expensive, and from what I can see there are no 100 percent Kona coffees available for k cups.That all said with COVID lock downs this is my go to afternoon k-cup. My little afternoon indulgence. I have one ever afternoon at around 2PM. It really brightens my afternoon. It is a really nice full body cup of coffee. Definitely has a uniqueness that I don't find in any other of my k cups.If you enjoy a medium roast coffee you are going to love this coffee blend.Aloha.

It's like your taste bud got punched, bold. In fact this is the strongest coffee I've ever bought. Yes it has the espresso flavor I've been searching for. I have been searching and testing for months with as many brands as I could find. The search has ended. This is the only pod that actually tastes like espresso allowing me to make lattes everyday.One bad thing is the pod must be slightly thicker, our Keurig elite won't pierce the bottom of the pod. I push the pod in place, right to the bottom, and hear the pop. Close up the lid, push brew button and good to go. Someone reviewed he had to pierce the bottom with a knife or nail. This would be to far imo, but approach works and I will buy again for sure. No stars off because to me it's all about what's inside and my work around works fine.

In his cups the 'I'll call him up' tales of a man and his Keurig (Keurig is the Dutch word for phone or summoning circle - your call). Today's first cup Barrie House Morning Ritual. Ritual is a loaded word, your morning ritual may be get up, scratch junk, make bed, have a shower, drink coffee or something more involved such as dance like only Satan is watching, eat a baby, dunk baby in coffee like a screamy biscotti. Not going to judge; though making the bed that early is weird. No matter what your ritual is, this is the coffee for it. It is strong, fierce, and made of drama and caffeine. This is a get stuff done coffee. Highly recommended.
