If you gig in various venues and you need to bring some control and consistency to your performance the Transit B does it. Also, this seller is awesome. I highly recommend them

My go to preamp!
I have both the Elf Amplifier and this Transit B Preamp. The preamp is my private studio for practice and playing along with music. I XLR into my USB interface with 1/4" input when I record. The sound that I tailor for me comes out sweet in the mix. Pairing this with the Elf amplifier will give you the classic sound of the '90s Bass heads (AH300). Using other preamps is nice, but I'm an old-school bassist and played through my friend's AH250 with the black light and all. Now, of course, it doesn't have the GP11 EQ, however, I get my "John Entwhistle" tone out of my Fender Jazz. The compression, EQ, Pre/Post settings, and Overdrive are spot on. If you read reviews for bass gear like all of us do, just get it. Go into the studio with this and tell the engineer "This is my sound!"
