Svord Curved Skinner

Like the title says, generally I like the knife for it's form & function. When you order this blade expect there to be a chance Svord's quality control & fit/finish is not the best. My knife arrived with a rough edge in a couple of spots, scratches on the finish of the blade & heavy tooling marks on both sides of the blade. The handle also had some minor gaps in different areas. Finally the tip was not ground evenly. I ordered this knife for doing actual work with it so I don't mind the cosmetic issues but it would've been nice to not have to perform edge maintenance on it as soon as I pulled it out of the box. Maybe this isn't typical for Svord blades....I don't know, I'm just reporting what I observed. May be worth it to pick this up on sale if you really need a finger guard, otherwise the Ontario Knife 1095 version with no guard is a steal & usually found for less than 10 bones. Take care.

Knife and blade steel are nice. This is an economy knife, thinner blade and a PVC sheath. The PVC is thick and put together with rivets only. I wish I had bought from knifecenter.com. They sell it with a leather sheath for a few dollars less. I’m still glad I bought the knife. Excellent quality.
