If your kid likes mixing up ingredients to make "potions" this kit is perfect. I bought it for my 8 year old who likes making leaf/mud "stew" in the back yeard to help with summer boredom and wow! It was a HUGE hit. Essentially the kit is all about mixing in different color glitters, food coloring and confetti with water and then pouring them into bottles. The kit says it can make 20 potions (because there are 20 bottles and labels), but with all the glitter and ingredients you can make them over and over again by re-using the jars. I apprciated the full color "spell book" that had easy to understand written and pictured directions which were simple to follow for my daughter. I bought a small cookie sheet from the dollar store for her to use as a tray to contain the mess, but overall, it wasn't too messy if you stopper each glitter after use. I do have to say that the coloring drops do fade in the potions over time, but my daughter just dumped and remade them. Could you DIY this kit by going to the craft store to buy glitters, mini plastic jars and food coloring? Yes, but having everything in a kit where the instructions refer to the glitters was fun names like sunshine dust or unicorn hair made it more special. Plus the box turns into very pretty shelf which my kid proudly displays her potions. Worth the money and HOURS of fun.

I bought this kit for...me. It looked like silly fun, and let's face it, I had to see what that bright green thing was... This little potion hit is SO. Much. Fun! It's just water and food coloring and the little inserts, but I spent half of a Sunday just mixing up little potions. I made the ones in the recipe book, but I adjusted and adapted a few...then I made a bunch of my own ideas, too! I enjoyed thinking of potions that I might encounter in my D&D campaign...and of course, no potion set is complete without...Kuzco's poison.. Simple, entertaining, rewarding fun. There are plenty of little items to add, lots of glitter, a whole bunch of bottles and plenty of labels to write your own names, even if you mess them up more than once. I think that it would satisfy at least a couple of kids playing together. There's plenty to go around. It's just a superior play kit!

Currently bed ridden recovering from surgery, and this has been something so fun I can do from my bed. Simple and easy instructions.

My seven-year-old granddaughter got this for her birthday and absolutely loved it. She is still playing with it a month later although we need to order more little bottles because they do not come with enough little bottles. I would suggest ordering little bottles ahead of time. (The only reason I didn’t give this five stars was because there weren’t enough bottles)There is however, enough product, which is great

Got this for my daughter's 9th birthday(since she loves to make "potions" out of all my expensive shampoos and lotions haha)....this was hands-down, her favorite gift she got! Played with it all day and into the next. She got very creative, making up potions and stories to go along with them. As she was mixing up her last one, she was already asking for me to please get her another kit.Slight downside is that it can get messy. There is glitter and water involved. We had a few minor spills, but it is well worth the entertainment factor.A small tip: the bottles are a little fumbly, so I used a small piece of blue masking tape, made it double-sided, and put it on the work area. Set the bottle on the tape and it holds it steady while the child pours stuff in.

I bought this for when my grandkids (age 10 & 6) come visit. When they saw it, they were excited to play with it. The "potions" are easy to understand & for anyone who likes to pretend to be a scientist, it is really fun. It kept them both busy for hours. Lots of fun!

Al principio parece que es muy pequeño pero una vez que lo abres hay muchos materiales diferentes y bonitos. Los frascos son algo pequeños pero vienen suficientes y son de plástico para que lo puedan usar niños. A mí hijo le encantó.

The kids can sit and play with this kit for a long time. Fun experiment mixing different colours and glitters to make cute little potions. Bottles about 1 inch tall or smaller. I was surprised how small everything was, but it turns out that’s exactly how my little one liked it.
