I like that I can now know the internal temp of my food without over cooking it.Only downside is that I found the external probe leaves the thermometer on if its not removed and came back to a dead battery.Apart from that it's spot on.

I've only used this 3 or 4 times and the battery has needed changing every time and now it doesn't work.

I only had an analogue probe before this one, took forever to record an accurate temperature. This one is an excellent replacement!It has 2 probes, as the second one can be left to record temperature while item is cooking in the oven using the wires. You can also select what meat you are cooking so it will set off an alarm when that temperature is reached.It has a magnet inside so the probe can be stuck to a fridge. Fridge not near your oven? No problem- inside the pack are 3 magnetic stickers so you can stick these near the oven for easy use.All round, this is a great probe for checking temperatures while cooking. Cannot find fault.

...and once the battery runs out, you'd better hope you have a watchmakers screwdriver set, because whatever a-hole designed this decided to literally screw the battery cover in place with a teensy-tiny Philips head screw, which I cannot remove since I don't possess said tiny screwdriver anymore (I used to have one for phone-repair purposes, but have moved multiple times since buying it, and it's lost to the ether at the moment). This is not a common tool people can expect to have in their homes, hence it gets a one star review. I'm pretty upset that I can't temp out the joint of beef I have in the oven right now. Prior to this tool-requirement fiasco I would've rated it highly.

I was impressed with quality since I have a 20 pound one that doesn't have the wire for oven and this feels better then that and works just the same apart for the alarm which is loud. Bought for a friend since he like cooking and said has no clue when meat is ready and he loves this.

Great product , amazing if you want to check if your meat is cooked from inside !I also use it to check oil temp !And I’m sure it will be great to use on the bbq in summer to check the meat , especially as it has a long lead ! Saves your hands from getting burnt .
