ESP32 Development Board fail?
Items shipped in padded envelope luckily no damage that I noticed soo far even my cat Joslyn was concerned, the boards are well made and I am satisfied and pleased with the quality; can’t wait to get my ESP32’s!, got me ESP32 and none fits my fault. Be careful to correctly identify ur specs(dimensions)

For people that think you can't program this via USB-C...
The ESP works great just as it should. The dev board doesn't let you program it but you simply plug into the upper USB-C port and everything works fine.

The CH340 USB chipset is difficult to get working on a Macintosh computer
For whatever reason, I could not get the CH340 USB chips recognized on either M2 or Intel with Monterrey or Ventura. I tried the baked-in MacOS driver, the keyestudio driver, and the WCHSoftGroup driver. I had no problem, beyond MacOS gatekeeping, getting the Macs to see devices with the CP2102 USB chips (from Silicone Labs). Otherwise the breakouts and WROOM boards looked functional and problem-free.

Check voltages before using
UPDATE: I am changing this review to a 1 star. The 2 boards that had working 12V to 5V regulators are unstable. I cannot get WiFi to work with the ESP32 on either board. WiFi works fine when using the same esp32 on their own. I’ve trashed these boards and do not recommend these boards at all.I ordered the 3 pack of the dev boards and am using a 12v power supply. Out of the 3, one of them has a faulty 12v to 5v regulator - it is sending 12v to all V pins including Vin on the ESP32. The other 2 boards are doing the proper 5v. I would NOT use one of these until you verify the voltage on the V pins.

Very useful, but current limit can be a deal breaker
The board has many features that make connecting components very convenient, however, for having so many power options, having the maximum allowed current through the board be only 1A is rough. I often find myself hitting this limit and having the board shutdown.

As expected, the breakout board is really nice as well. Only need a single USB-C cable, micro-usb or barrel jack to power everything.
