I purchased two of these hats in December 2012 thinking they were made by another hat company that I had longtime experience with. When I got these If complained that I had been misled by the product info. Sungrubbies said they would offer me a discount on a future order as compensation. I kept the hats---decided to use one and keep the other as a spare. Boy, did I blow this review. I love this hat. I live in the deep south where it's hot in summer. This hat is so light I wear it even then. The winters are moderate and I can wear it then. It's also perfect for spring and summer. It's light weight, crushable, foldable, washable and has the 50 sun protection. I LOVE THIS LITTLE HAT! I would be totally lost without it. I have severe eye problems and have to wear hats for eye protection everywhere. This hat is great--rain or shine all year long.

Admittedly, I have a giant head, so this hat is probably just the right size for most people (and has a tie inside to make it smaller, if needed). It fits me okay, but just a tiny bit snugger than I'd like. Still, it's a really cute hat, and I gave it a test run walking around in the rain a few days ago and it kept me warm and dry. I like that you can have the wide brim down for coverage, or flip it up different ways to change the style. The buckle on the side is kind of shiny for my taste, but not a deal-breaker. Overall, I'm happy with this hat.

I got this for travel in the Baltic where rain is always optional. It worked so well, because we took some day tours in St Petersburg and the rain seem to start every time we got out of the tour vehicle but would then stop 10 minutes later. The hat is great since you avoid opening and closing an umbrella. I could fold it up and put it in my pocket when not needed. I got so use to it, I now use it at home all the time shopping, I just turn up the brim a bit and it keeps my head and neck dry (unless of course, you are in a torrential downpour, then your hair stays dry but not even an umbrella will work).

I've been looking for a black bucket hat w/ wider brim for quite some time. Received this hat just in time for change to cold weather. This hat works great in repelling rain and drizzle, wider brim prevents rain from washing away make-up. Liner provides warmth and interior drawstring allows adjusting/tightening for windy days. Regardless, of whether hat is carefully folded into handbag or jammed into over-filled tote, hat looks crisp and ready to wear. An added plus for me, is that I can tuck/clip all my shoulder length hair up into dome of hat to protect from wind blowing out or rain destroying style.

Bought this in black. Fits slightly smaller than it looks on the model in the product shot, but this is useful rain gear. Wish it were slightly less expensive, but on the grounds that "you get what you pay for," I'll sum it up as a worthwhile investment. Happy with the purchase.

It fits, looks as expected. I took it on an international trip expecting rain but since there wasn't any I did not wear it. I like it enough so far I am keeping it, hoping for rain in So. Cal. and will take it to Seattle soon.

I love the look of this hat, only it does not fit me quite right the band is adjustable in the inside but once you made it smaller there really is no enlarging it, so it's tight around my head, and the brim is long or large so it is a bit too low on my face obstructing my view. I need to figure out just what to do with it

This is a great little hat. Very warm and waterproof. The style is great. Protective but the brim is not too wide. I especially like the drawstring inside which allows me to tighten the hat on windy days. I have three rain hats for my dog walks and commuting. This one is the best.
