Very impressive product - fun & games for all ages
This was my first experience of flying a remote control helicopter and - so far - it has been a great success. It was delivered promptly - very nicely packaged - ideal for gifting. In the box with the copter was a Remote control, USB charging cable, User Manual and a very nice Helipad with a bag and nails to allow it to be fixed to soft ground. Also included were reflective strips plus a screwdriver. All I had to do was to charge the inbuilt battery, read the Manual insert four AA batteries in the remote control (using the supplied screwdriver)and it was all systems go!!The instruction manual is easy to understand and written in clear EnglishPrior to taking my “maiden” flight I took some time examining the Helicopter and was impressed by the build quality and the finish. The propellers are bright yellow which makes it easy to see if you inadvertently land it in long grass. The reflective strips could be used to customise further. Also there is a bright LED light on the underside which flashes when the battery is running low giving you time to land safely. With some trepidation I took to the aiir. I needn’t have worried as the Helicopter has a very useful two speed mode so initially I used the slower default speed successfully to gain confidence. Later I progressed to the higher speed and perhaps inevitably had a few crashes. However this wasn’t a problem as the Syma seems almost indestructible. As a “trainee” pilot I am still practicing the twelve stunts and am very impressed with the hover function and the one touch take off and land features. The Helipad is a nice touch too for practicing precision landings. To sum up we are very impressed with the Syma Helifury 360 which is providing lots of fun for all the family and is very good value for money.

Insanely Easy to Fly - Great for Kids & Adults
First impressions, the Syma Tf1001 Helicopter combines the shape of a drone and helicopter all in one design which is a great so you get the best of both worlds. It has durable plastic enclosures which surround each of propellers, thus decreasing the risk of damage to the helicopter and fingers! I love the fact that it comes with a launch pad and bag, saves getting it dirty when landing outdoors!Great features such as altitude control - the remote control will lock at a certain height when the throttle is released - what a fab idea! Makes it easier to control for beginners so you can concentrate on the actual flying element or even attempt the 3D stunts such as an Axel, 360 Yaw, Roller Coaster, Banked Loop to name a few! The remote itself has 7 buttons each explained in detail in the easy to follow user manual. When flying the drone I found it so much easier to control, taking off and landing is a breeze due to the ‘one-key’ function. I’ll need to be a bit more proficient before I attempt the stunts. Flying time before I needed to recharge was around 5-7 minutes which is the only downfall, as with all helicopters you don’t generally get a ton of flying time anyway out of each charge. This helicopter can be flown indoors as well as outdoors providing you have the room indoors of course! All in all you could spend a lot more on a drone and not get one to handle as well as this does. Definitely recommend for the beginner due to how much easier it is to handle than traditional drones. Nicely packaged too and great price for such an insanely easy helicopter to fly! Charges over USB making it easy to charge and handy. I’ve got to admit for the price you get a lot and more for your money, great addition to my gadgets! Enjoy your flight!Helicopter Remote Control Functions include:Aerobatics:fly forward/backward and turn left/turn right Ascend/descend, left/right fine-tuningOne-key take off/landingAltitude hold (as above)Hover functionEmergency stopLED Light - when the battery is running low the indicator lights flash on the helicopter, prompting you to land safely and recharge.High/low speedsThe remote control itself can transmit up to around 20-25metres (as per manual).SYMA TF1001 Package Includes:1 TF1001 Helicopter Drone (22.5 x 17.3 x 6.5cm)3.7v - 500mAh Li-poly battery included - recharging time < 60 minsRemote control 4CH 2.4Ghz - 4 x AA batteries needed for the remote control (not included)Landing Pat & BagUSB Charging Cable8 Reflective StripsScrewdriverUser Manual3 Nails

Nice quality at this price. Well made. Slow and good for newbie flying indoors.
The quality of this was very good - the helicopter has a robust aluminium frame and is well put together.Charging is easy with a DC socket on the side of the helicopter.Battery life is as described. The remote control is nicely made and a cut above some of the cheaper remotes at this price range. The helicopter is nice and stable (indoors) and it is a good craft for learning to fly around the house. The downsides? Well - not many - it's hard to fault this model. The two speeds are barely any different - they are both almost equally slow and I sometimes couldn't tell which one I was on. It is responsive and reverses with more purpose. My only hesitation is not with this particular model (which is a good example of its kind) but with this sort of RC craft in general: You can only control yaw (rotation left and right), throttle (basically height up and down) and pitch (tilt and therefore move forwards or backwards). The craft cannot (and you cannot therefore control) roll - namely tilting (and therefore moving) to the left or right. That might not sound like a big deal - but after you have successfully flown around the house without crashing, you may think that being able to roll would have added a great deal more control and, IMHO, fun, to the flying - any quad-drone will do it. I got bored very quickly with this craft - whereas flying a drone with additional roll control had more scope for long term enjoyment. As an example, if you flew down a narrow corridor and your craft drifted close to the wall at its side, whilst moving forwards, with a quad drone you could just roll away from the wall and continue to go forwards - easy. With this, you would have to yaw (i.e. TURN) away from the wall - which would move your tail into the wall and cause a crash. The solution is simply not to get too close - to allow for turning space - or turn your nose in (shorter than the tail) and reverse away - then turn back and move on.
