Already growing well

I bought 1red 1pink and 1white. I could immediately see 2 were already pushing up a flower bud. The white one has taken a little longer to respond than the others. With Amaryllis one needs to "bring on' the bulb out of its dormant stage. I do this by dangling the roots in water but making sure the bulb stays dry. I use empty jam jars and chunky glasses to do this (making sure the water will be shielded from the sun's rays). I keep mine from year to year and start them up again in November, so they are very good value for money. They give a lovely show over Christmas and the New year

I have grown Amaryllis bulbs successfully for the past 50 years. This one purchased and planted in October following specific instructions,has failed to grow.
