Robust Gas Shock Bracket
I used this product for a custom install of a gas shock into a lift top bench. This bracket worked perfect for mounting and has held up well over the last few weeks. This was installed in an outdoor environment and is subject to water and moisture. The finish out of the package was in good shape and I don't see any reason it wont hold up for a long time. The only issue I had with this bracket is that the mounting flange was rather thin. Probably not a big deal if you are replacing an existing mounting bracket on a car or a metal surface, but when attached to pressure treated wood with 1" screws this tending to rack a little as the lid was opened and closed. I installed 3" screws and this helped a bit, but I am still concerned that it may loosen up over time. Again, not the fault of the product, just my application.

Very robust
I use these to beef up my class a motorhome cargo bay door, gas shocks. Perfect and way less expensive than the same high-quality ones that I could buy locally.

Held a mattress
Used them for the bed in the motorhome. I didnโt have a way to support the bed while in the underneath storage

good product
Simple. They work.

Does the job, not 10mm though
Good brackets but they're closer to 3/8 Id for the hole size, not 10mm. The struts I used were redline brand, and while these work, they fit loosely, and leave the ball end sloppy feeling. Didn't notice this at first, but consider it fail in measurement from the manufacturer, or mislabeled information for the bracket as 10mm and 3/8 is too much of a difference for this product to hold up long term. It'll likely cause excessive play in the joint, friction, and potentially fail early on

I would recommend them for use with most gas springs
These ball stud brackets worked well. I would recommend them for use with most gas springs. If the force of the springs exceeds 100lbs you might want to look for something heavier duty. I ended up returning the item, but only because I realized that I needed something different for my project. I had no problems with the return: there were no questions asked and I was able to complete the return within a day or two. As such, I cannot attest for this product over long-term use, but from my tests it held up well.

Heavy duty for Suspa 28 lb struts.
I ordered these struts & brackets to support a wooden storage box lid on my homebuilt kayak trailer. The 46" x 24" 20lb lid opens from from horizontal to vertical & is hinged on the long side. Using the 10mm Ball Stud brackets from API the struts were easy to install once I figured out the correct location to mount the brackets. The Ball Stud Brackets are heavy duty & should outlast the life of the Struts. I used to use a piece of wood to prop open the lid but now I just give a slight lift to open the lid a couple of inches and the struts slowly open it the rest of the way to about 80 degrees. To close it only takes easy an downward push. The struts snap easily onto the ball links with no tools and remove almost as easily with a screw driver to release a clip making them very easy to replace when the time comes. These things are great and I would definitely recommend!

Works fine but not for 80 # rated Gas spring/strut
These brackets were easy to install on my utility trailer 4' ramp The only problem I had was the ball studs popped out of the bracket after using several times. The studs are inserted like a rivet and are pressed rolling the backside over to hold in place. No threads and nut to hold in place like a bolt. They should have a max spring rating on them. I have ordered some heavier made ball studs that are threaded and will bolt into place. I also tried a 120# spring on one and it bent the bracket and pulled the stud out.
