Rice packs (both raw rice and boiled rice) donated had weevils (Black insects very tiny not alive)
I ordered 6 nos of 1 kg packets on 3 occasions so far for Rs.66 to be donated to the needy around my household. But all the 3 of them complained about the same issue that the Rice was very dirty and required cleaning it atleast 7 to 8 times to cook else the boiled rice looks cream in colour. Even the boiled rice from the same brand that was slightly costlier than raw rice was complained to be worthless by another household.Also, cleaning the weevils (Black insects that got crushed) demanded extra time and intense cleaning both raw rice & Boiled rice packs. For Rs. 66 we get good quality of raw rice. But I opted for premium cost rice assuming that the quality would be better than silky raw rice as I was donating it to the needy. This is an unacceptable, cheap practice to sell old and expired product which is an essential commodity.
