Had to chip in because of the one star review who thought it was a model to be built.This battleship comes completely assembled. (Mine was missing one propeller, but no big deal.)This battleship is absolutely marvelous to anyone interested. The hull is metal and the detail incredible for the price.Comes with stand with the name "USS Wisconsin 1945" on it.A shear joy. Buy it and enjoy. Note: not really a children's toy because of the delicate nature of the model.

The hull is made up of metal or solid plastic.The upper decks are plastic and not as detailed as it could.Be careful when taking it out of the package.One of the props broke off and I had to reglue it back on.During Gulf War I got to spend a night on this magnificent battleship with my brother.This toy model kind of looks like the Missouri.For the money it is worth it.
