Powtol Mckin Carburetor with Gasket Fuel Line Oil Line Spark Plug Fuel Filter Oil Filter for Stihl 024 026 024AV 024S MS240 MS260 Walbro WT-194

The parts in this kit mostly did NOT fit my Stihl 026. It turns out that mine is an "Early Model" of this item and not compatible. Why in the world would Stihl use the same model number with different parts??? The filter did not fit and the hose from the carb into the fuel tank was wrong. Since the hose was different than the original, it would kink the line at a bend point. The only reason I gave 3 stars was that although the carb was different (it has two adjustment screws where mine had one), the new carb did work and solved the problems I was having. I'm not sure how you can know that yours is an "early model"; maybe someone else can provide that info. After learning the issue, I was not able to find a different kit for the model I have.

I must have an older model 026 that I "muffler modded" to free up some power. As a result, the old "L" only carb needed to be swapped out to get it tuned back in. The carb dropped right in and the saw started right up. The spark plug was good enough, time will tell. The air cleaner did not fit though, would not clear the cover among other issues. I ended up cleaning out the old unit for the time being. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase.

Carb and plug ok for 024 av. the gas lines/filter and air filter will not work.

This is not a rebuild kit for a Stihl 026 chainsaw. The carb and gaskets were fine but the air filter and hoses do not fit.

Returned.
