Vice grips like these (or, as we call them on set, "Cardellini clamps") are a staple piece of gear in filmmaking. I've used a range of these from different companies, with costs for a 2" version like this costing 2-3x as much as the current $45.49 price tag, so how does this stack up?My initial impression is good. This is solidly built, with the heft of heavy duty materials. The rubber inside the jaws offers plenty of grip with the waffle-pattern texture. The spinning handle is every so slightly rough in operation, not quite as smooth as some others I've used, but that may clean up a bit with use, as the sharper cut threads start to wear in together. One unique thing on this one that I haven't seen with others is that it has a channel cut into the threads on the back. The moving jaw, then, rides in that channel and this keeps it from spinning around and out of alignment with the fixed jaw on the end, something that can be annoying with these types of clamps. While it's usually not too big of a hassle, I appreciate that Neewer found a simple fix for that.Overall,, I'm very pleased with this clamp, especially in context of it costing so much less than the other major brands I use on set. For now, the quality appears to be quite good. If I encounter any issues, I'll be sure to update my review. But if my review ends here, then you can safely assume I've continued to get good performance out of this.

Very well made, all metal design that feels very robust. smooth operation and very strong grip. I have tested several light fixtures attached to this for over a week and this clamp has performed flawlessly. It never budged from where I installed it, and it held my lighting fixtures steady and sturdy. I love that the pin is knurled so that the fixture doesn't rotate on the pin, a very nice touch. This is an essential piece of grip gear, and every photographer and videographer should have several. I cannot say enough good things about this clamp. Super strong, well made, very robust, and does its job perfectly. I am grateful to have this in my grip kit. It is a perfect clamp for all your grip needs.

This vise grip is large, strong, and will hold a heavy strobe light. My intent was to use it for attaching a strobe light to my Neewer Desk Mount, but I needed a quick fix to film a video so I grabbed it and attached my ring light to my rolling desk. I was able to roll the desk away from the backdrop, stand behind the desk and film. It worked perfectly! Simple fix with no bulky light stand. LOVE IT!The vise is extremely heavy duty and the handle/knob is large and brilliantly designed for ease of use. At the time of this review, it was priced at $45 with a 20% coupon making it $40. It may seem steep for a single mount, but it is worth it due to how versatile and meaty it is. Highly recommend.

Neewer is one of my trusted brands and, I have come to expect great quality items when I get them. This grip is no different. This grip is made of great quality materials and is sturdy. If you are looking for a quality grip, this one will not disappoint.

Wow!!! this is a very nice end jaw vice grip. It is a little heavy, but I mean that in a good way. It feels very sturdy and seems well built. It is very easy and quick to set up, and it can hold up to 44 pounds. This is going on my C stand, but I think that this will work just about anywhere this clamp can attach to with it 2" jaw. I put this on my desk which has a 1" bevel on the edge, and it worked amazingly well. I tried it on different size pipes, and it worked great. I like to get creative when lighting subjects with my photography, and this grip will definitely help me do that!!!

This is another well made product from Neewer. The clamp uses an all metal construction and is solid. It is very easy and fast to attach to a stand right where you need it, and it stays put. I like that the post is knurled to help keep the attached light from spinning on the pin.I also found this handy to use inverted in a grip head where I can use the clamp end for holding reflectors or flags. Overall, this is a versatile adapter that, thanks to the compact size, easily fits in the grip bag.

The Neewer clamp stud is well machined and designed for rigging lights on various surfaces. The metal parts are built to take the punishment of daily production. The large knurled wing bolt makes it easy to get a strong clamp to hold the largest lights in place. There is a crosshatched "rubber" surface inside the clamp for a steady grip. This vise clamp installs a lot of confidence especially if it's being used on a rail high above the talent. If installed correctly it is not going to come loose.

Eines dieser Teile welches keine Rücksicht auf Gewicht und Dimensionen nimmt sondern kompromisslos auf Belastbarkeit und Haltbarkeit setzt: Definitiv ausgelegt um zum Erbstück zu werden. Dabei ist die Klemme bis ins kleinste Detail so gefertigt das sie stabil und sicher hält, Gummierung, Textur, Formgebung usw. passen perfekt. Schön wäre etwas mehr Vielseitigkeit gewesen: Was wäre das Problem damit ein ordinäres Stativgewinde in den gewaltigen Bolzen zu fräsen um die Klemme etwas offener für andere Systeme und Dimensionen zu machen?

Es unterhält eigene Forschungs- und Entwicklungsabteilungen und darf getrost als etablierte Marke betrachtet werden.Die hier angebotene Klemme für Foto-/Videolicht und anderes Equipment, das über eine - weit verbreitete - Spigothülse verfügt, besteht aus Aluminium und Edelstahl. Sie ist so stabil wie durchdacht gefertigt und lässt sich an flachen wie an runden Trägern befestigen. Dank der großen Schmetterlingsschraube geht dies sehr schnell, ohne großen Kraftaufwand und mit sicherem Halt.Ich nutze die Klemme unter anderem, um ein recht schweres Ringlicht mit 50 cm Durchmesser rasch an Rohren, Regalen, Tischplatten anzubringen. Das funktioniert bestens und hinterlässt dank der guten Gummierung an den Klemmbacken keinerlei Spuren.Im Detail macht Neewer auch hier einiges besser als Mitbewerber. Beispielsweise ist der Spigotzapfen nicht, wie so oft, ärgerlich glatt, sondern verfügt über eine rutschfeste Struktur. Meiner Einschätzung nach handelt es sich um ein rundum gelungenes Produkt.

Aus dem Hause Neewer wird hier eine schwere aber auch sehr stabile Halterung für die Neewer (oder vergleichbare) Video- und oder Studioblitzanlagen angeboten.Mit über 50 €uronen recht teuer, aber auch hochwertig.Die Halterung selbst ist tadellos und auch mit einem passenden 5/8“ Bolzen zur Produktaufnahme ausgestattet. (preiswertere Stative und Halterungen bieten meist dünnere Bolzen).Man sollte aber beachten, dass hier auch sehr stabile Stative als Träger verwendet werden müssen, um den Schraubstockgriff zu befestigen. Mit Leuchte kommt da ordentlich Gewicht zusammen.

Ja, ca 54 Euro für dieses Stück Aluminium wirken erst mal viel, aber: Entgegen anders lautenden Bewertungen hier ist das Teil wirklich robust, blitzsauber verarbeitet und absolut verlässlich.Auch Größe und Gewicht stellen kein Problem dar, im Gegenteil: Die Klemme hat genau die richtige Größe, um stabil und zuverlässig zu funktionieren.Die Klemme packt sowohl an Rundrohren (getestet mit C-Stand) als auch viereckigen Profilen (getestet am heimischen Treppenhausgeländer, siehe Fotos) sicher und verlässlich zu. Ich habe eine meiner schwersten COB, eine Aputure LS 300 X, drauf gepackt (ca 3,5 kg) und da bewegt sich nichts mehr von selbst. Top!Angeblich ist die Klemme bis 20 kg belastbar, das habe ich im Test nicht ausgereizt und ich würde auch nicht so weit gehen. Aber prinzipiell zuzutrauen wärs dem Teil wohl.Fazit: Robuste, stabile und verlässliche Klemme, die ihr Geld absolut wert ist. Wer in einer Location kein Stativ aufstellen kann oder will und eine Möglichkeit zum klemmen hat, bekommt hiermit eine super Alternativlösung!
