Very impressed
I've seen these types of products on my recommendation page before while shopping for traditional sanding discs but never checked them out until now. I'm glad I did! These things are actually really awesome. Ive used them to polish several sinks and countertops and the results are amazing! It makes them look brand new. This set has a good progression of grits that allows you to handle different materials whether they be really rough to start or if you just need to put a mirror finish on something that's only a bit scratched up.The ability to use them with either an angle grinder or a drill is awesome and gives you flexibility in completing your job. They appear to be fairly robust and I've noticed no decrease in effectiveness after several uses. Overall I'm very happy with them and would recommend!

As described.
The "DIAPICK TOOLS Diamond Polishing Pads 4 Inch Wet Dry Set 9 Pieces …" worked with my random orbital sander, cordless drill (1600 rpm using the adapter) and angle grinder (required removal of the guard). DIAPICK recommends a maximum speed of 5000 RPM, many angle grinders run at 10,000 rpm or more so check your grinder. The pads stayed attached on each of the tools. I did need to tighten the drill adapter to the Backer pad with pliers otherwise the backer pad came off the adapter when the drill stopped. I am not using them to polish stone, rather I want to polish aluminum. They worked okay removing the scratches and making the aluminum very smooth when using water. They did not appear to clog (load). I will need to buff the aluminum to make it shine. I believe they performed as designed. I am taking one star off because the pad came off the adapter until I tightened it very well using pliers. A lock washer or other approach to keep the adapter attached to the backer pad should be researched.

Good quality,
I ordered these for a few upcoming projects. My husband used to work with granite, cutting, polishing, installation, and furniture. He is impressed with the quality for the price. We polished the edge of one of our pieces of granite to test, and it did a wonderful job. It was a small job, one edge of about 25 inches, but it looks very nice, and there is a ton of life left in the discs we used. These showed results faster than I expected, given my limited experience with working with stone.I am not experienced in this field and lack the correct terminology for a proper description on my own, but can at least say this...for our intended use, small DIY home projects, these are perfect, work great, give a very nice finish, and should last us through all our currently planned projects nicely. Based on what I have used and experienced thus far with these, I would order these again.

Terrazzo (Real Marble Chips) Repair
I have an old house, some might say it is historic. It has Terrazzo floors throughout, real marble chip and not the modern “epoxy” equivalent. Terrazzo has a surface layer of marble chips poured with the concrete, it looks like concrete. At the end, it is polished and exposes and polishes the marble chips. It is a beautiful, durable (and expensive) floor.I removed a wall, that wall was anchored to the concrete floor below so left a void I needed to repair. In addition, as the wall itself covered the underlying Terrazzo, the Terrazzo was never polished. So I have an unpolished Terrazzo floor now exposed. And that Terrazzo floor also has chips and voids from where anchors were removed. I used a tile repair kit to fill in the voids and chips based on color of the marble chips in the floor. The proper repair might be to repolish the entire floor; this is simply a maintenance item for Terrazzo. However the floors themselves look really good and do not warrant a full repolish. Also this is 2,000 s.f. and a pro-job I don’t desire to hire out right now. I am going to try a touch-up job here and only polish where the wall was removed and immediately surrounding area to feather it in. Polish one-step-at-a-time and see what the proper polish for the surrounding area is; meaning I need to star coarse (which is how you polish anyway). Rather then polish to a target (typical), I polish to match. It may not be perfect, but it will be better and for most people they are probably not going to be able to see the repair. You granite fabricators out there, you will see it. This polishing kit is perfect for this small job.
