What a sweet little story about need, strength, and love. One instant changed the lives of so many people! Trigger warning: mention of abuse.

I didn’t realize this was an older book that was re-released. It was a former Silhouette book and not like Nora Roberts’ current writings. I wish that had been more obvious. Quite a few parts and interactions made me uncomfortable, as they didn’t age well. Overall, it was a cute romance.

I love the characters, plot, and dialogue. Page Turner. Had to pretend I was watching football while I was sneaky reading 😂

Excellent story. Nora Roberts really knows how to portray the vulnerable but strong female and the heroic male. A single mothers dream.

Typical Nora Ro eras romance.

Gabe's love made Laura stronger. Gabe's family was important to help Laura and Gabe finding themselves. That's a lovely story of overcoming yourself.

Loved it

This is the first short book of Nora Roberts that I have read and I wasn't disappointed. Good story line, interesting characters and with the same sense of intrigue as her longer books, I didn't want it to end. That was the challenge for me it wasn't long enough! Still a great read.
