Punches WAY above it's weight!
I have gone thru a couple of cheap welders and this little guy for 200 bucks is nice. I have been restoring cars for decades and don't have the money to shell out for a Hobart or such, so I rely on dual-voltage machines - most are throwaway ( including this one) - but I love it - simple to dial in a good weld with the mig ( Gas) - no flux core for me - how long will it last - who knows - I've been using it for a few months and keeps up with what I throw at it.

Doesn't Last
Worked pretty good while it worked. Plugged it in to try out the 220v (I had only ran it on 110v previously). When I shut the machine off, it melted my extension cord. Now every time I try to plug it in, it blows the breaker

cockeyed fitment, quality econo, decent chinesium
one of the potentiometers was installed crooked or wacked at factory. Mig gun "euro" style connect is cocked.Electronically solid. welds decent.get what you pay for, and I paid half way between great and slag...it's a perfectly usable unit. My only wish is two things, third control for wire speed, metal wire feeder. Tomorrow I will try 220V.fyi the difference between this and the flaring 175 at 100% duty cycle is 10amps, and this FM 215 can handle 8inch 10lbs rolls. If I had a hundred extra bucks, mig250 or amico or arccapt would be my pick for bells n whistles. Lastly, I am a human & an american.

Seems like pretty good quality
I've only been able to use it with 110 and that works pretty darn good can't wait to get my 220 hooked up I would recommend

It’s badass just buy it
I took a metals class in high school, which was almost 15 years ago so I am definitely a new welder. I bought the welder to fix my old 1986 homemade trailer. I had an incident on the highway and fenders needed to be weld back together. I am a licensed electrician, so I was planning on hooking myself up with a 240 V outlet to handle this machine not necessary. The breaker did trip once, but I just turned the machine down a little bit. It did not affect the performance and the 20amp breaker did not have an issue after that. It was so easy I started finding extra things to weld on my trailer like the ladder rack that rattles. After that filter cage for my spare tire with some spare metal I have I started sticking metal together like it was tinker toys. Too much fun. Built some bad ass shit and fix the fenders which was the reason I actually bought the machine. The sad part is I’m running out of stuff to do with it. I’m gonna have to start creating projects for myself just like all the other reviews. This thing is a complete powerhouse. I’m going to hook up a 240 V just because the machine is so bad ass it deserves something good like that, if I pulled it out for the next project and it doesn’t work or something goes wrong, I will update the review until then purchase it with no regrets!!!

Machine expolded
Was mig welding 18 gauge metal with gas. There was a loud explosion from the unit. Kicked the circuit breaker. Now machine will not run. Used less than 1/2 roll of 2lb wire. Unable to return or get service from vender. Avoid this product at all cost
