I was worried about this item actually getting to me in 'as made' condition but it arrived as a well shrink-wrapped tray of 6x200ml bottles and if anyone had interfered with them it would be fairly easy to detect a breach in the pack. It sounds panicky I know, but in the current climate alcohol sanitisers are like gold dust so you need to receive what you are paying a slightly inflated price for. On price, you're getting 1.2 litres of gel for £15. My local chemist is doing 120ml (i.e. a tenth) for £5, so it would be £50 for same qty from them. The Cuticura are excellent value under current climate. Now a final comment on this 'is it strong enough?' business. Answer is Yes. I'm a qualified industrial chemist and assure you that 57.6% alcohol w/w (i.e by weight) is roughly equivalent to 66% v/v (i.e. by volume). This is basically because alcohol is less dense than the other major ingredient water (aqua) and it's not a straight 1:1 conversion. All I would say is that the packaging states an alcohol content of 57.6% but doesn't give the units, I researched my purchase and was comfortable with the manufacturer saying it is w/w. Having used the product it has a very strong initial pungent alcohol odour which dissipates quickly as the gel evaporates over 10-20 seconds of hand cleansing. This further gives me confidence that it is strong enough for the job which is primarily an antibacterial. Wash your hands first, use the gel as an additional comfort. It leaves little if any scent so not strong in that sense. Recommended both on price and quality.To people worried about packaging having PROVOKE LIQUID BLONDE etc on inside of tray. This is made by same parent company (Karium ltd.) as Cuticura. They are probably just short on secondary packaging so improvising a little. The stuff on and in the bottle is Cuticura.

Ever since the Covid 19 pandemic, we've started using a lot of hand gels. This one is a trusted brand, and smells great. Be very careful buying other brands because there are some very dangerous ones out there.Great sized bottles make it easy to slip into your pocket, or keep it in your car etc (although don't keep it in your car during a hot summer!).They do unfortunately dry hands because of the alcohol, so bear that in mind. I try to balance it out by using a hand soap at home which contains moisturisers, or just by using hand moisturiser.Trusted brand, great sized bottle etc - a highly recommended purchase.Always sanitize your hands after going to the shops etc because you don't know who has touched the items before you. And this makes this easy to do - rather than waiting to go home to wash your hands with soap and water.The alcohol content in this is perfectly fine against Covid 19.Stay safe!
