I absolutely adore this globe. I’ve gotten so many compliments. You do have to change the barriers out after a couple weeks but I kept it on almost all day everyday during the holiday season.

The first Christmas snow globe that I received had an issue with the speaker, but was replaced quickly and easily. The second one functions perfectly. The globe is quite joyful. The swirling glitter, trees, birds, and funny little gnomes create a nice holiday scene. The addition of The eight holiday song cycle and light is lovely. It can be adjusted for glitter and light, or glitter light and sound, via the mode switch on the bottom. The globe functions via batteries or USB cord. I thought that the USB cord charged the unit, but it appears that that is not the case. That would have been much more convenient. That being said, the globe is substantial and durable. The painting is well rendered, and the figures without deform. Its a nice globe and I am pleased with it.

This glitter lantern with a charming gnome scene brings all the sparkle of the holiday season to life. It comes nicely packed in a gift box that can be used to store it in the off season. Instructions included let the user know that it has three function modes: on with music, on silent, and off. The timer function is automatic whether the user chooses music or just the glitter and light mode. The unit will stay on for 6 hours and then come back on again after 18 hours. This is an exceptionally nice feature which allows the user to put the unit out of reach of children and pets and not have to think about turning it off at the end of the day.There are two ways to power this decoration - three AA batteries or the included USB cord. The cord plugs in at the side of the lantern, so it is always visible. Not a huge thing, but it would have been more discrete to have it plug in the back so the white cord is not visible from the front.The music mode features several songs (8 in all) from secular to sacred. As one might expect, the music quality isn't super great, but it is nicer than many of this type of glitter globes I have heard.The scene inside the lantern shaped unit is quite charming. It features two gnomes in the snow with trees and a wreath. The painting and sculptures are well done, crisp, and feature vibrant colors.The item description states that this product has a hook at the top for hanging. However, I would not trust the plastic ring to support the weight of the unit. It might be fine, but it seems a bit likely to break.This is a beautiful decoration that brings the magic of the holidays into any home decor design. It would look festive in a table scape, on a mantel or bookcase. It would be a great hostess or Christmas gift. Very nice!

I absolutely love these modernized takes on the old school snow globe. They are beautifully made and even better…You don’t have to shake them to keep them going anymore! This one is too cute with the two little Christmas themed nomes. The light is just right…bright enough for the glitter effect to hit just right but not so bright that it becomes a nuisance to the eyes. I love that it can be plugged in with the included USB cable or given batteries for use virtually anywhere. It also can be played with Christmas music on a cycle or just the light which is nice because I’m unfortunately not the biggest fan of Christmas music so i like that I can opt out of that feature. My favorite feature though is the timer. I turn it on at the time I want it to come on everyday and walk away so that it does all the work for me. I never have to touch it and it will turn itself on everyday just before dark and then cut itself off when we go to bed and then turn itself back on the next day at the same exact time. So convenient! These globes would definitely make wonderful Christmas gifts. Love!

I must say the music is way too loud but I keep the lights on w a timer and they are very soothing, the ambiance of the family room is just magical when this is on - the gnomes are super cute, the water has not turned murky yet as it does usually in snow globes. I think it's a nice decor piece, I do recommend it!

It appears quite beautiful and the sound and light add to it. I love the swirling glitter.
