A necessity for our home
Reasonably easy-to-use personal finance software. Great for tracking expenses, bills, investments, etc and makes it so easy to track deductions and reconcile payments. Could, but wouldn’t want to, do without Quicken.

Makes my life EASIER!
I've used Quicken Software since 1996 for my small business and family records. It makes tax time especially since I use Turbo Tax one heck of a lot faster and easier - also I don't have to categorize all of our finances and deal with paper receipts. I buy it every year- ain't cheap - but worth the money!! It's also nice nice to have one program that that I can call on to track a purchase from the seller to to our finances. I recommend this product!!

Glacially incremental improvements not worth the price
I've been a loyal Quicken user for about 30 years now, ever since my dad taught me how to budget back in high school. My wife and I use it to track all of our accounts and for budgeting. Over the last several years Quicken has started demanding yearly subscription fees of $60+ for a product that never seems to improve much. Despite automatically downloading the data from our brokerage and 401(k) accounts, it never keeps them accurate, and is always off by at least several thousand dollars, even when starting with a fresh file. The mobile app stinks. One of the funnier things was visiting the Quicken support site and being told "Why would you expect it to keep your investment accounts accurate?" Why? BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE SAYING THE PRODUCT DOES! So even though we want to use nothing but the basic check register and reports, with no bank downloads and no mobile app, Quicken wants our $60 - every. single. year. Quicken will allegedly allow you to continue using the software after your subscription expires, but simple changes to basic settings (like switching from a one-line to a two-line display) are disabled, and - more importantly - *it will not even let you enter your paycheck data.* It also fills up a fourth of your screen with an irremovable notice demanding you renew your subscription. If Quicken had decent updates, a better mobile app, kept our investment accounts accurate, and/or could do something else worthwhile, we'd be happy to. But it doesn't do any of those things. So my wife and I paid the Danegeld this year, and only this year, but will switch over to better software as soon as we decide which we like best. So goes another Quicken customer. Goodbye, and good riddance.

NOT your father's Quicken
This is only good for one year and each year it keeps getting more expensive. I've been using Quicken since the '80's and it'd be nice to go back to purchasing this software outright, upgrading when I want to instead of this "subscription" model. Also switched from Windows to Mac version and they are definitely not the same. The Mac version is seriously lacking in features, mainly in retirement planning, which should be one of its main features.

Solid finance software
I've been using Quicken since 1992, first on DOS (!), then Windows and finally since 2018 on the Mac. Yes the Mac product has fewer features than Windows but it's also easier to use and understand and for me does everything I need it to. They update the product every month or so to add features and fix bugs. The subscription seems like a pain but in all honesty I upgraded every 2-3 years anyway to keep the bank downloads active so I was already paying for it, it just wasn't called a subscription.

No es lo que esperaba y lo devolví. No es para pequeños negocios
Es muy complicado, no como el Quicken original y es para inversiones.
