My husband and I have been taking omega-3 soft gel supplements for about 2-3 years. We take them with a few other vitamins to help boost our immune systems and for general health benefits.As with most Omega 3 supplements, the capsules are not too big and they are easy to swallow. The recommended dose is 3 capsules per day so the jar will be enough for 40 days however the jar says 60, so there is probably a typing mistake or the manufacturer is very bad at math. Each daily serving contains 180mg DHA and 270mg EPA. This is what is essential in an omega-3 supplement and determines its strength. The dose is not very high considering you need to take 3 but it is decent.It's difficult to say how much of an impact this is having on me because I do already have a consistently high intake of Omega 3 in my diet and through supplementation, but I have had positive effects on mood and inflammatory measures since taking Omega 3 supplements, which have not worsened since taking this particular supplement.

I usually take 1 single 1000mg capsule a day and last bought the Simply Suppliments 1000mg capsule where they recommend a dosage of 3 capsules per day. Most of the other 1000mg brands I've had will mention taking a dosage of 2 capsules a day for a total dose of 2000mg a day.For me, this 1500mg capsule was a half way option. Interestingly Simply Suppliments also recommend 3 capsules a day for the 1500mg as well. Might be worth speaking to a health professional as to how many mg a day you personally should takeWhat I wasn't expecting was that the capsule oil seems to be the same as the 1000mg, it's just this capsule is approx 1.5 times as big (same length, just plumper), so if you have trouble swallowing the 1000mg, this could be worse. I assumed the oil would be more concentrated in the same size capsule but maybe that is not viable.Personally I have no problem swallowing either size capsule and have never suffered any taste or smell issues with any of the brands I have bought.

I always qualify any reviews I write for health supplements with a statement to the effect that I am not a health professional so my comments are limited to the taking of the product itself.These come in capsule form and are not too large to swallow comfortably. There is no noticeable taste or aftertaste.What is not clear from the description (unless you click on the picture and even then the writing’s small) is that they recommend you take 3 per day so although there are 120 capsules, it is only 40 days supply.Having said that, I do rate Simply Supplements highly for their quality and value for money and they are one of two brands (the other beng Nature’s Best) that I use. A little tip. If you are going to buy these, buy from here rather than direct from Simply Supplements as they do tend to bombard you with junk mail once you are on their mailing list.

As with any supplement its very hard to gauge if its working or not, the same with there. They are normal size for such things and I never had an issue swallowing them, though I know some people do.As to whether they work or not, who can say? I've taken fish oil most of my adult life, would I feel any different if I hadn't? I don't know, but I take it because its supposed to be good for you.

I take Omega 3 daily, and have been for a few years, along with Glucosamine Sulphate, the benefits of which are very well known. I normally take 1000mg, which is generally seen as being an optimum dosage, so these are a good bit higher.This is a top quality product, which is exactly as you’d expect being from Simply Supplements (I have been buying from them for a good number of years). The soft-gel capsules are tasteless and odourless, so are nice and easy to take.I’m always very wary of the origin / efficacy of this kind of thing, you just never know, so it’s good to know these capsules are made in the UK. I also always look for GMP accreditation, which this product is.All in all, this is a first class, great quality supplement, as you’d expect from Simply Supplements. cA little pricey considering only 4 months’ supply. Omega 3 has many benefits but as with most supplements. It is difficult to actually note much of a difference when taking so I just assume that anything that doesn't cause a negative reaction can't be harmful to take! This one is a softgel capsule but they are very large and you need to take 3 daily. This bottle works out at 4 months supply and isn't bad value for money but not the best value I have seen for Omega 3. No fishy aftertaste so that's a bonus!
