This ABBER Bike Mat is nice and heavy-duty and at around a 1/4" thick, provides excellent grip and noise reduction, as well as great floor protection, beneath your equipment. Once unrolled it lays nice and flat right from the start and can be used in a variety of ways beyond being placed under a piece of exercise equipment.As an example of an alternate use, I have the mat placed beneath a standing desk to soften the impact of the hardwood floor beneath my typically bare feet, although it is definitely too soft for easily rolling a desk chair on when I'm not standing. In my case, I actually happen to like that fact, as my chair stays firmly in place once in position, and requires me to partially stand, or at least really put out some effort in order to move it much. So, not only am I getting the exercise while standing, but also a bit while using the chair, too. I view that as a bonus, rather than an inconvenience, which I would suggest is sound logic for those who choose to actually strategically exercise. (Sometimes being less efficient is actually more efficient for gaining a broader range of benefits...)In any case, this is a great mat that is going to undoubtedly last a very long time!

Because of its dimensions, I got this mat to go under my rowing machine and it works great! When I unpacked it there was some of that chemical smell. I unrolled it in my garage, elevated the center, and turned a fan on it for a day or two, and then took it inside. The smell dissipated quickly and I haven't smelled anything since.The mat feels like it has good durability and lays well. That wrinkle you see at the top is because of the feet underneath the rowing machine and the length of the mat. I'm going to cut about 4 inches off the length so it will lay flat.I would check the dimensions for your application but it lays well, feels durable, and the smell goes away and doesn't persist (this is the area of biggest concern for me). I recommend this mat without reservation.

I had a problem. My art studio is on our 2nd floor, and was causing a fair amount of noise below as I scooted my chair across either the laminate flooring, or a hard chair mat I bought. When I saw this bike mat online, I thought it might be a great solution to the problem - and I think it will be!Because the mat has some cushioning and the chair tends to sink into a bait, my wheeled chair does not roll across it well if I'm on it - but if I get up slightly, it's not a problem. This isn't as easy as rolling across a hard mat, but is certainly more quiet. Plus, most of the time I'm at one end or the other of the mat and am just swiveling between a canvas and the pallet on my desk. It's much more quiet, and the floor is still protected from wear.

I use this mat for the under desk walking pad. It doesn't move or slippery. Light odor when unwrapped. Fits under my walking pad nicely but a bit thin.
