In my top three
For what it’s worth, this is one of my three favorite proper ‘working’ tarot decks for everyday use along with the classic Rider-Waite-Smith and an authentic Oswald Wirth (i.e I use the major arcana only). In short, I use the Aquarian a lot. This isn’t just a collectors item. I use it more often than the Crowley-Harris Thoth. The reading system does follow the Rider-Waite-Smith. However, this has a very different feel:The art deco/art nouveau revivalist 1960’s-1970’s design which was fashionable at the time with slightly ‘psychedelic’ colouration (this deck was first published in 1970) is very much ‘of it’s time’ but thankfully it was executed by the Italian-American artist David Palladini with elegance, respect for tarot traditions and good taste. If anything it errs on the side of being bland by modern standards. If you like your Death and Devil cards to look evil and sinister, this isn’t the deck for you. I personally like this a lot, since not only are they obviously very rarely ‘scary’ cards in terms of your interpretation, but also you don’t want the client to be unnecessarily worried about the cards you’re laying out if there’s nothing for them to be particularly worried about. I find it leads me more easily into a clear, objective view of a layout and a more relaxed client.I consider this to be the last ‘great’ tarot deck with the possible exception of the Godfrey-Dowson Hermetic Tarot which I still can’t quite make up my mind about (it doesn’t come in a smaller edition anyway if a pocket tarot is what you’re looking for).Unfortunately, because the Aquarian Tarot was the first very successful occult tarot deck conceived by a contemporary graphic artist rather than a long-gone member of an established occult order (like the Crowley-Harris Thoth) it opened the conceptual floodgates for the dozens of vulgar money-grabbing ‘novelty/designer’ decks which have come out ever since. If you’re looking around for mini-decks in general, I strongly advise you to get an edition which comes in a tin. Pocket editions of tarot cards which are just smaller versions of the standard size will get very badly scuffed around the corners of the box within a week if you keep them in a bag. The lid of the box will then keep working loose, and you’ll forevermore end up with a bagful of loose cards which are easily bent or scratched. If you want a ‘travel’ version of a deck, please trust me, you need them to come in a tin.On amazon you can get a Tarot de Marseilles in a tin called the ‘Tarot de Maria Celia’. Throw out the minor arcana and you have something very close to a travel version of an Oswald-Wirth deck. If you don’t like this modern interpretation of the Marseille deck that’s fine, the tin will also hold the cards in the ‘Tarot de Marseille mini deck’, which is more authentic. As far as Rider-Waite-Smith decks in a tin are concerned, you have a choice between the ‘Smith Waite Centennial Deck’ which is the more authentic or the ‘Radiant Rider-Waite’.The pocket-sized version of the Crowley-Harris Thoth deck will fit into a 110mm x 80mm ‘Thoth Egyptian God Tin’ which you can buy on amazon, but the tins come in lots of sizes, so please check the dimensions before you press that ‘add to basket’ button.Of all of them, I’ve found the Aquarius to be the most satisfying as a mini-deck because most of the images are from a ‘close-up’ perspective, making it easier to read every detail at the smaller size (the Morgan-Greer deck which came out in 1979 had a similar approach, is also available in a tin, and consequently also works well at this size, but it’s a little ‘over-the-top’ for my taste). This means it’s a beautiful mini-deck to try if you already have the standard sized editions of any of the others above but have never tried either a travel deck or an Aquarian; you’ll effectively get two great types of deck you haven’t experienced before for the price of one.I hope this is helpful for you.

A simple feeling easy to use deck for me at least
In terms of a working tarot deck this set seems to be well attuned for me at least, and it may work for you too. However if not just search for one that does

Truly wonderful cards
The artwork of this deck is absolutely beautiful and full of intricate details and profound symbolism. The general feeling it gives even in the “dark” cards is gentle and elegant. The cards are well made, just the right size, and shuffle like a dream. I also found the card stock to be of good quality and like that it comes in a tin can as well. The interpretation instructions are simple yet useful. This is definitely going to be my new main deck.

Bad quality, looks worn
The inside of the tin has strange smudges and the cards wore out completely after just one use. I had the same issue with the regular sized & am convinced its a printing/hygiene issue since I don’t have this with any of my other decks. A shame bc I love the artwork

In effetti…
