Excellent Story!
One of the best time travel books I've read! Enjoyed the characters and their adventures. It's hard to imagine what life 500 years ago would be like . We've come along ways ! Read this story you will be glad you did.

3.5 STARS - IMPROVED FURTHER YOU READ
The opening and ending raised my rating. The middle dragged and was little on action until near the end.I really liked the H and the secondary character’s. The h I had mixed feelings on. Sometimes she is concerned about changing the future and other times she doesn’t give it a thought. She teaches the cook in the 15th Century to bake cupcakes. She starts an exercise class, organizes time off for the servants, the list goes on and on. I had a major problem with that and is a reason I’m not a fan of this genre. There is lovemaking, within marriage and heat level 4+ out of 5.No cheating, some nasty villains, no cliffhanger for out couple, but somethings are left up in the air about certain character’s. Assuming set up for future stories. Some romance and steam. Small editing issues, but nothing you couldn’t figure out. Enjoyed it was set in a time period you don’t read much in Historical Romances, so that was unique. (ljb)

A WOMAN IN TIME
The War Of The Roses brings conflicting emotions to Nicolas Scarborough, Marquess of Pennington. In the heat of battle against the Reds, a woman appears in strange clothing. Nicholas fights them off to save her. This is no ordinary woman. With the rub of a brooch, Kestral traveled through time from 2019 to 1485, before the battle of Bosworth. Nicholas fights for King Richard III because the Lancasters killed his family, but he hates the king for his cruelty and deceit. Kestral is a Lancaster and must keep her last name secret. To be labeled a traitor and a witch would see her burned at the stake. In the battle for king between Richard III and Henry VII, Nicholas could die fighting for Richard, Kestral uses every weapon she has to save his life. For her, finding the man you love is once in a lifetime. Even though I have questions about a couple of discrepancies, I loved Nicholas and Kestrals love story so much I went ahead and gave it 5 STARS.I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Wonderful romance and time travel.
I liked how Kel was transport to the 15th century by a magic brooch. She appeared suddenly on a battlefield right in front of a knight, who then had to protect her. She had to prove to him that she was not a witch and they quickly developed feelings for each other. She began changing him into a happier person but did not let him know that her last name was Lancaster, because his whole family was killed by Lancasters. It is the time of the war of the roses. There are villans, romance, love and great descriptions of the people and the time they were in. The steam level is low, no graphic descriptions of their lovemaking. A very enjoyable story.

Is That Her ☎ Phone Ringing?
Seriously?I disliked the main female character in this time travel novel, which takes her back to medieval England. It's the same old story, woman has lousy boyfriends then is sent back through time to the days of Knights 🐺💪🔪 and chivalry.Even though she really has no reason to go back to the present, she still spends all her time wishing for it. She's the kind of person who has her ear and face constantly in her phone ☎, and can't live without it. I had no sympathy for her. She spends her time reading about history, but doesn't want to live it or live in it when she gets the chance. The language used throughout is modern English which was a disappointment. Some of it was hilarious, and I don't think the author meant it to be that way.

Echo of Roses
I am intrigued by time travel stories and always wonder where I would love to land. Hard choice to make and of course how would it happen? Our heroine landed in 1485 England when rubbing an ancient cameo she was given. Right in the middle of battle, and she was saved by a knight in full armour battling an enemy! What are the chances? He of course could not believe a woman just appeared before his eyes in the middle of battle. Seeing she was about to meet her death and then fainted, he grabbed her and threw her over his noble war horse and fled to he fortress.Sound interesting? Oh yes and as Paula Quinn begins a new series, one can only hope the next will come out soon!

intriguing premise, terrible execution
I would have liked to read a story with this plot from a talented author, but unfortunately that’s not what I got. Like so many authors these days, this author seems to have read a novel or two and then decided she could write too. The heroine comes across as immature and obnoxious and the author seems to have absolutely no idea what life was like in the Middle Ages aside from maybe reading a Wikipedia page about it. For starters, the English language was so different the main characters would have had trouble even understanding one another. And if someone had started an exercise class back then they would have been laughed out of the room. Recreational exercise is purely a post-industrial revolution activity, to compensate for the exercise in the work the average person had to do prior to that which was then lacking. There are unexplained details all throughout, such as a character in 1475 speaking about Anne Boleyn’s death which happens in 1536, with zero explanation as to how he came to know about it, nor any reaction from someone who would have had no way of knowing who that was. Also, no fifteenth century man would have instantly accepted an unmarried woman who was not a virgin, this author seems to think there could have been people raised in the Middle Ages with twentieth/twenty-first century ideals when in reality it took centuries from that time for promiscuity to become accepted and lauded. Reading this novel was the equivalent of having one’s brain scratched with a Brillo pad. Perhaps by the time the author reaches adulthood, she will have gained the necessary talent and ability to do proper research to go along with her imagination and not make her stories so utterly ridiculous.
