Don't normally review but this time it's worth taking the time.I bought this so I could have a low power, always on PC which I could use to act as an RDP gateway into my home network when I'm away (Only available in Windows 10 Pro).I went for the 4Gb RAM/64Gb eMMC version and I'm blown away by the power and performance of this little box.It's completely silent and only gets slightly warm so you know it's on and I consistently get 95Mb/sec transfer speeds over the gigabit ethernet.After my initial testing/playing, to see what it could do, I reset it to factory conditions but it refused to activate when the reset finished!This is not the first time I've had a Windows 10 PC do this on me. Last time it was my Lenovo laptop, but this is where it really shines, the after sales support.I contacted Minisforum support (I'm in Europe, they're in China) and within a couple of days (which was better than Lenovo support) had sent me a solution as a series of simple steps which worked perfectly. Awesome. This is how after sales support should be :)To recap this PC is fantastic value, excellent little performer and the after sales support is outstanding.I'm now looking at their KODLIX N42-D to replace my old, slow and noisy desktop PC and know I can purchase it with peace of mind.Many thanks to Hu for all the help :)

Surprised at the size of it. Simple, easy to setup. Windows 10 was straight forward. Overall the spec performs reasonably well for basic tasks ie email, surfing, videos (slight lag). Starting up is reasonably quick.I have not performed work tasks with excel or word so can't comment on the performance. However, if you can are okay working at a steady pace, this mini pc will not disappoint but do not expect performance like a full blown spec of a typical desktop pc.For the budget conscious looking to just get on the net, this is a neat package.

The first one of these was purchased to replace Lenovo mini PCs installed (about 5 years ago) in a cabinet along with a touch screen monitor in a health care facility (they are clients to the patients database software). it is much smaller than the Lenovos and work just as well for this purpose, although I think they are powerful enough even for more media intensive tasks, I was watching Kitten Academy in HD on it when setting it up).Although I also ran into problems with Win10 Pro deactivating after 1803 update (which is really an issue with Microsoft rather than just this hardware, I've also seen it with other hardware) Hu at minisforum in China responded very quickly and sent the information required to solve this issue.These computers need to be switched on 24/7 and remain reliable, and so far this machine has been working well, so another one has been purchased (to replace the remaining Lenovo which is becoming unreliable and is no longer manufactured).

Installing updates is a little painful but works ok eventually. Backup as starting from scratch is not great as very early version of Windows 10 is supplied

So far so good. My old PC - originally running Vista - finally couldn't cope with the demands of Windows 10 updates and the lack of available drivers. I needed something that would allow me to use general apps, documents etc, surf the net and also watch online video. This tiny package covers all that at a fraction of the cost of towers or desktops (which are still rather pricey). All you need is a usb kb, a mouse and a screen. You just need to wait for it to boot up. Be patient - it looks like nothing is happening, but it will.P.S. Have been running this for a couple of months now and am still very impressed. The slowness of boot up seemed to be related to my having used an old Apple keyboard that I found. Now that I have a MS kb it boots up really quickly.

Great bit of hardware. Unfortunately the Windows 10 Pro won't activate after installing updates, does not appear to be a genuine OEM Windows license (not surprising considering that a copy of Windows 10 costs more than this PC!). Because of the low price I will still give 4 stars as I had to use my own Windows 10 license.

Bought the MINIS FORUM Z83-F mini PC 4GB/64GB in the UK based on reviews etc. It was delivered promptly in a nice box. On the surface, it is as described: compact with decent connectivity. However, after connecting peripherals and booting up the windows home page was from a Portuguese dental company with the login from one of their staff! I could not get into windows and I am returning the device. These details need to be stated clearly on the product page.UPDATE: having since returned the product the company have been in touch and confirm that the product was likely resold by the Amazon system. There was also an attempt by support services to get things up and running but to no avail. I am unable to comment on the actual product -- it looked fine and as described -- since I never got it up and running. Buyers make sure that you are buying a new product with windows pre-installed...then all should be fine

the atom processor is abit slow ,but for the price you cant argue! updated windows and it asked for an activation key and they sent one straight away.the service is impeccable
