Easy to use and does the job!
The simplicity of this device is amazing. I was leery spending the money but I'd had enough of the cheap stand that was a pain to balance with the tree and it was never straight. Took a chance on this stand and truly glad I did. Soooooo simple! I put the base of my tree (rather large I must say) into the device, ratcheted the pedals with my foot and it was perfectly straight and solid. Best ever. Love it! The base is quite heavy, hence it holds a good sized tree! Glad I bought it!

Great tree stand
First time using this tree stand and so far I am impressed!!! It was very simple to use, and held my tree very sturdy. It was easy to adjust the tree to get it straight. The only thing I don’t like is when emptying the stand it was hard to get all the water out of it as it goes back into pockets, so had to keep turning it upside down in different directions to get all the water out. I am hoping this tree stand lasts a long time as it is really nice and easy to use.

Doesn’t hold the tree well
I was so excited to use this stand. I always struggle with installing a real tree. I locked the tree stump into place, per the instructions. Easy, peasy. Within 24 hours, it was listing, and continued to slip a bit for the 10 days it was up. Save your money. This stand doesn’t do the job.

Better than expected
I wanted a real tree for Christmas this year. Our old tree stand was... well, old and needed to be replaced.I ended up ordering this product. It's pretty heavy without water. The tree was easy to install. All we had to do was to make sure it was level. The water indicator is very helpful. Our 10 ft tree has been in the house for 3 weeks now. Yes, it does drop needles but much less than expected. We are very happy with this purchase. Recommend!

A decent Christmas tree stand for half the price
BACKGROUND: My husband and I have one of the original Christmas tree stands that looks similar to this, but costs almost twice as much. It has been a solid staple in our home for years (since we first ordered it from some high-end store in the early 2000s), and we can't imagine going back to the old "twist in" stands. In fact, we love the cable stands so much, we have convinced all of our family to buy them over the years, and no one has gone back.So when I saw this version, I assumed that the patent must have finally expired for the original idea, and I thought I'd give this one a try (saving it for a kid who is about to move out and get their own tree). Upon inspection, it is definitely a CHEAPER version of the original, thinner plastic, etc. However, the main idea is still the same. When you step on the handle that cinches the four trunk holders (with cable), if you pull up to far, it will release, and if you take your foot off of it without clicking and locking it into place, it will also release - so buyer beware! HOWEVER, if you know that little trick, you can cinch and lock that sucker up just fine and it should hold (with the lock in place). At the time of this review, this was running around $60 for the 8' tree holder, while the name brand version that we have is still listed for $109. For $50 less, I would absolutely give this one a try.

Best tree stand ever
This the stand is the best tree stand I’ve ever used. There was nothing difficult about it. I just opened the box, took out the stand, trimmed a few of the limbs from around the base, put my tree in and locked it down. It really was simple and it held out the up perfectly.

Works perfect
This tree stand is amazing! It took a minute to get the tree standing. Despite having a curved trunk, I was able to do this alone. I just pressed the foot pedal and it was all done. I didn't have to get down on the ground and turn those screws. The stand is pretty heavy and there was no problem with a 6' tree.
