G.B.S Dual Stand for Razor and Brush Professional Deluxe Stand, Ivory

Has enough weight to not be tipsy. Happy with the stand so far.

I thought that I should hang my brush by the handle, which turned out to be too big. I finally determined that I had to hang it at the junction of the handle and the brush bristles. I think that is how it meant to be hung. There ought to be some discussion about this, somewhere.

After receiving several good answers to my question about this shave stand (thank you Amazon for this feature and thanks, again, to those who answered), I purchased the stand. Having now received it, here are my impressions: The finish on the stand is very nice. The metal to faux ivory fit is good and tight--no gaps. The faux ivory has a nice look; exhibiting some vertical "grain" below the polished surface. The chrome is nicely finished and doesn't appear to get spotty from water. It's also a heavy stand that's stable. But, most importantly, my Edwin Jagger DE87 faux ivory razor and 9EJ287 faux ivory handle shaving brush are a perfect match and fit! While one can assume the razor would most likely fit the razor end of the stand, brush fit is another issue. As a reference and help to others, I'm including specs for the Edwin Jagger 9EJ287 brush: Height 86mm / Loft 44mm / Base 42mm / Knot 19mm. The diameter of the brush handle where it rests on the stand is approx 25.2mm. The brush holder opening of the stand is approx 27mm and the razor holder opening is approx 12.2mm. I'm going to try and post pictures of my setup.

Most of what I have to say is in the title. When I purchased this stand, the price was right ($30 and prime eligible). It matches my Edwin Jagger safety razor perfectly:  Edwin Jagger De87bl Faux Ivory Double Edge Safety Razor, Ivory  It's the right size. I love it, even though my brush is a little big for it (see picture). The base is heavy enough to keep it well balanced. The finish is not particularly susceptible to dried water stains like other chrome/nickel accents in my bathroom.

This stand was ok. It worked and served it's purpose. My only complaint is that the bottom is a sponge material so of course it will come in contact with water. But the base seems to hold water, and eventually falls apart and gets messy. It only lasted a little over a year before I had to pitch it.

Well made and looked great but had to return because it could not hold my Parker ivory with chrome base brush.

This razor and brush stand, by GBS, is a functional and stylish addition to anyone embarking on the "wet shave" journey. The stand protects the razor and allows the brush to air dry.
