Loud, but good fun!
My toddler loves it! He has dropped it several times and it still works. My only complaint is that it is LOUD. But that is easily fixed with a strategically placed piece of duct tape.

Cute Toy violin
I got this for my nephew, who loves violins. This is a toy. It is not and does not mimic a real violin other than you can "play" a bow across the "strings." the strings are not separate, so there are no wires for the child to break. It is all plastic. This does not sound like a violin. And parents who get this should be grateful that it does not actually perform and sound like a real violin in the hands of a 3 or 4 year old because that would be just torture. It does play individual notes, but those notes do not correlate with the correct positions on the string. It also plays preset songs, which sound nice.My nephew loved it. It is approximately a 1/4 size violin, and perfect for a toddler. The music is not that tinny toy sound, so it does not get as annoying as it could. However, the same preset songs play over and over, so I suppose you could get tired of it.There aren't that many toy violins around, and I think this was a great one!

Very cute toy, but flimsy and loud
I wish there were volume controls on this, it was very cute but didn't stand up in durability to my son. The bow was very flimsy and thin plastic that broke within the first couple of days. Then the violin itself broke when It fell off the couch. Too bad, I was going to buy more for my friends' kids.

Not for Left Handed Child
I wish it had real strings and my granddaughter is left handed so this toy does not conform to her natural playing position. Bad choice for me.

Shoddy parts
The violin was coming apart when we got it. A couple of the screws that hold the neck of the violin to the body had stripped the plastic that they screw into. We had to tape the neck onto the body to secure it.The music is neat and my toddler loves playing with it, but it won't last long because it won't stay together

Great choice
I purchased this for my 2yr old nephew, and he loved it. He always cry for my daughter’s actual violin and I had to find him something similar. He love it and we all are happy.

Great for music curious toddlers
I paid just under $20 for it and this is how much it should cost. My toddler enjoys it, though drops it all the time. I am sure it won't last long but she is enjoying while it lasts.
