This bookcase is perfect and I'm so happy with how it looks in the baby's room. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing that almost swayed me from it, but am super happy I pulled the trigger. We had it assembled (without any gaps!) in less than 30 minutes (and with practically no help from me), so it was easy to put together and it's not wobbly at all. The box was pretty dinged up when it arrived, but the inside packaging prevented any product damage, thankfully. I will say, if you're expecting mocha to be a brown/mauve, it's definitely purple in color, but that didn't bother us at all. That's the only thing I would say is a bit misleading about the listing. Would definitely recommend this one.

We've been married for more than 60 years and this is the first "put it together" unit that we didn't get in a fight over. Love it. Looks great in our family room. Plenty of room for all my adult coloring stuff with room left over for our dog to have the lowest center bin for his doggie toys.

Unable to tighten the unit so you see a slight gap. Tried to do what other people mentioned in the review but unable to completely close up entire unit. Other than that. Great for the price. Exactly what we need for our reading book.

The packaging was great and the shelf arrived within a week & in perfect condition. The pieces do need to be dusted off first though. Instructions were easy to understand and I assembled it by myself just fine. The shelf was unstable & wobbled side to side after I finished (might be a problem depending on where you plan to put it) but when I placed it right up against my taller shelf, it didn’t wobble anymore so that doesn’t bother me. The color doesn’t match my other white shelves, it has yellow undertones (as seen in pic) but it’s not as noticeable in person. The shelf also comes with little 3-inch legs but I chose not to use them.

This bookcase isn’t screwed together with actual screws, which is a big design flaw with an item this big. Assembly instructions were minimal at best, and kind of a pain with how flimsy it was. Additionally, once assembled, the pieces didn’t fit together very well, and it seems somewhat dangerous in the fact that it could fall apart.To overcome this- in the attached picture, you must use the plastic things to keep it a bit more stable in the areas I highlighted (it only suggested 4, but that’s not enough. Also the screws are too small, had to use slightly bigger ones ). Additionally, I had to caulk the gaps where the connectors didn’t hold it the edges together, which was all over the place.Lastly, I took an impact driver to the circular pieces that held the connectors in place, and used very short gentle bursts, and that seemed to also tighten it a LITTLE.I would not recommend this shelf to anyone, and unfortunately we’re going to have to live with it now that it’s fully assembled.

I was nervous to purchase due to reviews about being wobbly and I have struck out on purchasing furniture online many times. But I took a chance and it paid off!It is perfect for my needs for a Montessori set up for my kiddos toys to be organized and available at his eye level. I purchased the 55' on sale and it was a better deal than items I received on black Friday or Cyber Monday. Sturdy and it looks fantastic.Assembly was what I expected. I put it together myself in an afternoon with a kid underfoot "helping". A few stops in the beginning and I had to disassemble and restart because I had done someone backwards or had forgotten a part to the bolts. Getting it to stay together to flip and get to the 3rd step was probably the most frustrating but after that it was smooth sailing. Turn on some music, take some deep breath and proceed with care and diligence and you will be fine!100 percent recommended and I have already had a few friends and family members ask for the link just from my social media posts which is out of the ordinary for me. I am considering buying another in a different color for my bedroom as well I like it so well.As far as the sturdiness I made sure to go back and tighten everything after each step and it is as solid as a rock without the wall straps. It is particle board but very thick and doesn't look cheaply made at all. The legs give it a MCM look that is pretty cool too.

The assembling is decently discernible. The unit itself, once assembled, is not sturdy. They use a pin and locking drum assembly but the pins just insert, not screwed in. Makes them easy to pop out of the wood.I drilled a hole at the outside of each shelf and used a tiny headed screw to solidify it and used the provided white adhesive dots to cover the screw heads.The top shelf rail that attaches to the back is very non-sturdy and could easily be broken. I drilled a hole into each side and used the same screws to cinch it down.Once I did my adjustments, the shelf is quite solid. The connectors are an IKEA knockoff. Very cheap.

Surprised at how sturdy it is honestly. I saw some reviews and videos showing it was wobbly and was worried. It seems those people did not fully put the bookcase together. There are little brackets and screws you use on the backside of it and they stop it from moving about. I have two preteens sharing a room and bought two of these and they are working amazingly as a storage solution for the bedroom. Doesn't take long to put together. Instructions are simple. So simple none needed for the second bookcase. Everything was painted great, fit together perfect and it even came days early.
