It's a light bulb, nice and bright to be so small.

These bulbs are an excellent replacement. They are very bright.

I bought these LED lights to replace my original range hood halogen (50-watt) lights. My old halogen lights still worked after 10-years of use, but they created an incredible amount of heat and each light bulb used 50 watts. I have two bulbs on my range hood.These new LEDs are phenomenal. The lights have a nice color rendering (Kelvin), uses an incredibly small amount of energy, and doesn't create much heat. I'm using these lights for my Broan Range hood and there are 3 light setting options. I was a little worried about potential flicker which seemed to be an issue for some people after reading some reviews of other light bulbs. I have no such issues with these lights.Overall I am very happy with these lights and I would highly recommend them. I should have just purchased them many years ago.

Works as it should

These are bright, the light and color quality is good (not too white or too yellow), and the beam angle seems to be pretty wide. A small thing is that they are slightly taller than my prior halogen bulbs. My major issue is not related directly to the product. While they do say that they are dimmable, they will not function properly with my particular range hood (GE JVX5300SJ1SS). On the bright setting, everything looks great. On the dim setting, there is an almost seizure-inducing strobing effect at maybe around 30 or so Hz (just guessing). After finding the info on my hood online, I found a discussion that says they do not recommend LEDs in this hood due to electromagnetic interference with the circuitry. Frankly, that's over my head. I'd just recommend looking your hood model up online before purchasing if you are trying to replace a halogen bulb for one of these.

These bulbs are reasonably priced and dimmable which was critical for the fixture we were putting them into. We did have one bulb (out of 6) start a rhythmic blinking. It would blink four times then go out for five seconds then blink again, repeating the cycle endlessly. I thought that was kind of cool but it drove my wife crazy. Switched it out and the replacement is working fine which tells me it was the bulb and not the fixture.

We have a Zephyr range hood, and it has two of these that come standard, but halogen.Of course, the halogen versions use a lot of energy and get quite hot. I purchased these as one of the halogens burnt out and I'm very happy with these.The energy usage is FAR less, they don't get hot, and they also work just fine with the dimmer #1 and #2 settings. Easy to install (Twist lock).Work great.
