Strong thread for thicker materials
This thread is stronger than the normal sewing threads. It's perfect for use on thicker materials like cushion covers, backpacks, curtains, etc.

Thick Thread, High Quality
These spools came with some sort of moisture in the bags. Not sure if that was something purposefully put on when manufacturing, but it dried quickly and didn't smell at least. The color was as expected and the thread was very thick. It worked really well in my serger when sewing canvas for a backpack.

Seems to be a good thread
This thread worked well for me. I had my machine set to 3.0 stitches in length, I tested 4 utility stitches: straight stitch, zigzag stitch, 3 stitch zig zag (one of my more favorite stitches) and a three stitch straight stitch. These stitches all stitched out well except for one small area where the stitches skipped. I suspect it wasn't the thread but the size 16 needle that I was using as it was a no-name brand needle. I have never had skipped stitches from my machine prior to this. The thread was soft. I had some difficulty threading my machine with it manually. I tried the machine threader again and it finally worked. I have never had good success with the thread that comes on my machine. I was testing this thread on a Janome Skyline 9.I do wish that manufacturers of thread will find some way to mark their spools with the typle of thread it is and what it can be used for. After this thread came, I wrote down the basics about it and carried it back to my sewing room to try out. I think there was about a 2 week gap between then and today when I tested the thread. So in my sewing room, I had upholstery thread scribbled on a scrap of paper. I completely missed the fact the maker was recommending it for quilting as well as upholstery, embroidery, hems, button sewing, etc. I'm sure my mom would have liked to have a nice sturdy thread like this for all the times I ripped my hems out in elementary school while playing kickball at recess - yes I went to school long before girls were allowed to wear pants in school. I even got marked down in home economics for consistently using two threads when heming my sample outfits. Zippers and hems, my teacher was always on my case. I have plenty of machine and hand sewing embroidery thread as well floss so I don't see myself using this for that, however, I do want to learn machine quilting. This is the next thing I have to test is some quilting templates and I already have the machine threaded with a thread that can be used for quilting now that I know a suggested use is quilting so I don't have to rethread.I do appreciate getting good sewing notions as so much of my sewing life I always had to make do with whatever I had, I do appreciate the opportunity to try out this thread. Thank you.

Lovely color
The media could not be loaded. Purple is my favorite color so I ordered the light purple set. I use my serger nearly every day and recently learned a nice little trick to save colored thread and having to rethread the whole machine each time I have a color change. Use the color that matches your project in only the first needle. Keep the other threads in a neutral color. Only the furthest thread could possibly peek through when the serging is hidden (such as finishing the edges inside a garment) so that's the only one the color matters on.These cones of polyester thread fit just fine on my serger, the thread goes easily through the machine and needle loops. It seems no different from any other serger thread I've purchased before. There is a thank you note from the seller included too. I thought that was a nice touch and like sellers that include such things.

Nice heavy thread!
I love the colors of this thread, they are nice and vibrant. (I chose the Sapphire Blue and really love the saturation of color). The thread is heavy-duty and does require using a heavier gauge needle. For machine sewing, you do have to use an upright stand with this thread to maintain the correct twist for sewing machines. The coating they say is on there seems to work and makes the thread nice and smooth. I have a big project coming up after I move and will try to test it then to see how much lint I can get from an entire cone. For my shorter samples though, it works very well. The description says it's 20s/3 thread. I'm honestly not sure what that means except that the 3 is for 3 strands. It is very strong thread and I almost suspect that the 20s means it is 20 weight. (it is kind of thick, great for buttons, embroidery, canvas work and bagmaking and other places where you really want a beefy thread.)
