These work great!! They stay in place and are painless to remove!
I am one happy reformed mouth breather! I was concerned because the reason I breath through my mouth is that my nose is so stuffy, but it’s amazing how the body reacts and compensates when one option is no longer available. I put this on and my nose clears so that I can breath. These are super stretchy, stay in place very very well, but are also completely painless to remove. I saw someone in the review photos put them over the middle of their lips vertically instead of across the lips horizontally and I felt the vertical option was the right placement for me. They stretch so much that I’m actually able to cut them in half and only use half of one each night to make them not only last longer, but also make them more cost effective. For some reason I start to yawn repeatedly before I actually fall asleep and I’m amazed at how well these stay in place despite my mouth desperately and forcefully trying to part at least 3 yawns in a row, but they are easier to remove than a bandaid! I experience absolutely zero pain when removing in the morning. I can’t recommend this product enough and I’m so happy I took a chance on them!

These work but could be wider
This product doesn't actually SAY what it is intended for but I took a chance as I ran out of my wider, larger mouth tape. A new medication increases my saliva and I drool excessively during sleep so I tape my mouth closed. These strips work and stick very well. I can even reuse a second night if I remove carefully. I had ordered others to fill in temporarily that were definitely intended for mouth taping but they had a hole in the center which obviously didn't work for my needs. I probably won't purchase these again because I prefer larger ones that I now subscribe to so I won't run out but these do keep the mouth closed as long as you don't have an extremely large mouth. Mine is on the small side without puffy lips.

It works well for me
It helps to keep my mouth close. Didn't fall off, however I think it's small, not for big lips. I will purchase again.

Works Too Well
I was really excited about these strips. I have used other mouth tape and was seriously unimpressed with their adhesive and ability to stay on all night. These mouthstrips worked very well. The first 2 nights they work perfectly. They stuck until morning and I had no problem removing them once I was done. The third night something unfortunate happened. As i was slowly and carefully taking the tape off my mouth and surrounding skin the mouthtape stuck so badly to the right side of my face that it ripped off all the layers of skin in places. Since I was doing this bedside I wasn't looking in a mirror and only discovered what had happened when blood started trickling down my face. (All three times I removed the tape it stung so I didn't worry when it stung thst morning). The pictures were taken 12 hours after the tape removal. Maybe my skin had gotten more sensitive as I have gotten older but it hasn't been a problem before. I am still giving it 3 stars because it did stay on all night. To sum up -Pros:1. Sticks well to your face2. Stays on all night3. Comfortable once appliedCons:1. It tore off 3 layers of skin and made my face bleed2. Hard to remove strip from backing3. Had to use 2 strips to cover my mouth completely (or is that my fault for having a big mouth? )

Ineffective at improving dry mouth for this CPap user
I use a CPap device and also a very small appliance to keep from clenching my jaw. A new device has the tendency to leave me with VERY dry mouth, so these tapes have been recommended.I gave it three nights test: not one morning was my mouth any better. In fact, when you awaken and want to encourage saliva production, you need to move your jaw and mouth around, and with the tape, this is not as easy to do.I awoke reddened area around part of my mouth, which lingered for a few hours. And, worst of all, it frankly felt a little scary - a cough brought on a bit of a panic, I can’t open my mouth! But of course, you can rip it off (ouch if not done really carefully) in an emergency, but it’s the concept, not necessarily the product that is at fault. This product, other than irritating my skin, was gentle overall. Soft. Easy to remove slowly, by pulling the edge back on itself as one does with any tape to reduce damage to the area it’s affixed to.I would also challenge the ability to make the claims that they do about health benefits. My pulmonologist just shook his head at the concept.

Works good!
I love this product I been using it for 2 weeks now every night! I was nervous I wasn’t going to be able to breath at night but I can! Also the product is good quality and sticks all night! I will definitely be repurchasing and I highly recommend!!

Work very well
These tapes stay on all night! But easy to remove when desired. Also important to me is how easy they are to use. The backing is in two pieces so it is easy to peel off! I have tried others that are very difficult to peel from backing. Good value! I have not had any irritation from tape.

The Best That I’ve Used
I’ve gone back to this one after trying a few others. The last one that I used was the Hostage brand. It’s black and leaves black specks around my mouth, even though I put lotion on my face before sticking it on. The most effective at keeping my mouth shut all night was duct tape, however it irritated my skin. The Niveus brand, like all mouth tapes is a bit stretchy and has tiny holes so that one doesn’t suffocate, but it’s the best that I’ve tried so far. The ones shaped like a large X I are useless for me. While asleep I can blow air out the corners of my mouth. I tried another one that had a small hole in the middle of the tape so it didn’t work either. My CPAP machine blows air in my nose but a lot of it comes out of my mouth while asleep. There doesn’t seem to be a perfect solution. I’m hoping someone will invent something with the strength of duct tape but doesn’t leave the skin around my mouth bright red.
