Amazingly this metal box spring is sturdier than I thought it would be. I'm so use to having the wood box spring with the heavy duty fabric that you buy from a mattress store, but this works just as well and less expensive. I must say the assembly was not too bad. Putting the screws with the nuts on was prob the hardest part but not terribly hard. The cover fits perfectly over the box spring. My son hasn't laid on it yet so im not sure if it makes noises. I would def recommend this box spring.

Hubby and I have been trying to get a bit more life out of an older Stearns and Foster King mattress set. Just not sure exactly what we want to get next. I've always kept our mattress encased, it is still in good shape, but one of our twin box springs (older wood type) was broken. This mattress is monstrously heavy. So, I started looking for replacements, and thought we could try the king steel box spring. Thought about getting 2 twin xl frames, but the king was cheaper.Assembly took about an hour, maybe less, using the simple provided tools and instructions. We assembled it on top of our bed, including the cover, stood it on its side, lifted the mattress against the wall, put the new box down on the old steel frame, and pushed the mattress back down on top of it. Our teen age daughter helped us with the lifting and maneuvering, as our mattress is unwieldy and the king box is bulky. We are young elderly ;), but even so, this is at least a two person job IMHO.Well worth it! Our mattress is back to being very supportive. It does make it quite a bit taller, so you might want to measure if that would bother you. I've not noticed any noise? But we made sure to get the nuts and bolts securely tightened, and the cover on properly. Great Purchase, I would buy it again.:)

I was a little nervous about assembly but it was very easy. Directions were clear and it was packaged well. It was easier with my own screwdriver over what was provided. The box spring itself is great- much more supportive than what we got from Raymour and Flanagan. I can’t believe how low quality my old box spring was comparatively. I thought I needed a new mattress even though it’s only four years old and was not cheap. It was actually the box spring. Only thing I can’t really attest to is longevity but this seems so much sturdier than what we had before.

I would of never thought I would be buying a metal box spring for my bed but to my surprise this has turned out to be better than an original box spring we have used all our lives.Easy to put together and doesn't make much noise while moving around on the mattress. The cover that comes with it is nice and removable to wash if need be.I was looking to save some money while looking around for a box spring (Didn't want to go into the stores and deal with that) and was happy to see these types offered to buy.. It's an excellent substitute over those original box spring types..

Was sturdy but broke 3 weeks after purchase, if bed is to heavy will break if you move it around. Very disappointed

We bought the king size frame. Arrived next day and is lighter than most of my older mattress frames. The directions aren't very clear (the images are very small) but the install was easy and no 2nd person needed. There's no grip from the frame to box spring so I will need to buy some tape if I don't get a headboard. So far no creaking, and holes aligned perfectly. Overall a very inexpensive frame, lightweight and easy to set-up. I'd definitely buy again if needed.
