Rechargeable, but the charge lasts a long time. The light is bright and stays off when the door is closed.

When I first saw this lamp I was very skeptical of how it works. After I installed it in my closet I was very impressed. It performed better than I expected. The best part is no battery because it is rechargeable.

The media could not be loaded.  I wish these had a dimming feature. I have them under my counter for night lights and to help while baking. Lighting is an issue. I have a similar light I use that has a dimmer and I prefer that one to this.Battery lasts a while but because it's brighter while on it doesn't last as long as my others. I turn it off when not using it which defeats the purpose of having an auto light.

I used one set for a closet pantry I made and another for my clothes closet! Very sensitive and turn on when I open door and shut off when I close it! Provides great amount of light

Mounted a light underneath my cabinet by my coffee machine. Terrific in the morning. I don’t have to turn on the overhead lights and there’s plenty of light from this lighting strip. The light last so long on one charge.

These work great! They charge quick and are easy to remove to charge!

I have come to like the utility of these small, rechargeable under cabinet lights. But, I'm finding that each works a bit better in a given area and it is hard to tell until you get the light as to whether it will work.This two pack comes with two chargers and the "standard" on, off, or motion detection activation. They do not have an option to change "color", but that is not of interest to me - I prefer a "cool" temperature light and these do the trick.The motion detection works well and the lights stay on long enough for simple tasks - if you need longer, just way your hand and they will turn back on.I am not, however, thrilled with the brightness although I was able to find a place where it worked well. To explain, my intention was to place these on my desk as task lighting to replace the fluorescent bulbs that reside under raised shelf. The fixture no longer works and puts that side of the desk in a deep shadow. But, when I placed the lamp in that location, I found that it didn't add much to the ambient lighting - they just weren't bright enough to overcome the shadow. I was very disappointed.I did, however, find a location that is very dark (an attic) and the amount of light provided by these lamps is sufficient to well light that area (see photo). I think it is because it is because the difference from dark to these lights is pronounced enough to appear brighter and they would near ambient light. Just as a candle in a dark room provides more apparent light than a candle in a well-lit room.So, other than the disappointment regarding brightness, these rechargeable LED lights do the job for which they were designed - providing light on demand in an area without a convenient power source. I'm happy with the purchase, these are useful in a number of locations around house, garage, and sheds.
