Works over time and I expect the hair to be thinner after more continued uses. I was skeptical at first, but it does work; however, it does take some getting use to. I'd suggest starting on lower settings and working your way up from there. The best way I could describe the feeling would be that stinging feeling from a rubber band slap. There is a burnt hair smell, but that is to be expected. The cooling feature works well enough, but you may want to purchase soothing cream as well.

This is not my first IPL device. I have a older IPL machine that is bulky so I don't like taking it out. But this IPL device has everything in one hand held device! It not only has hair removal but there's other modes you can use, but I'm only interested in the hair removal.This device only has two buttons, the power button on the side and the center circle button. It took me a minute to understand how to operate. Basically you change the intensity level with the power button and use the circle button to get it to flash once. You can change modes and turn on Auto mode with the circle button which I have accidentally done while trying to just flash. So that can be a bit annoying. I like that I can manually use the flash.Since I've already used an IPL device before, I didn't need to start at level 1. I like that it can go up to 9 and I can easily go higher. The stronger it is, the faster the results so its best to test your tolerance. I've been struggling at reducing my underarm hair. It doesn't help that the skin in that area is dark for me so its not as effective as my legs or arms. My old IPL hasn't worked on my underarms well so hoping this one will since it have higher intensities. Since it takes awhile to see results I may update this later!This may be obvious but one thing to note is that this needs to be plugged in. It doesn't show its plugged in the mock ups on the listing so just letting you know that its not a wireless device. The wire is a few feet long, but nothing too generous. Also this device shows how many flashes it has. And it will countdown per flash. Once its done you will have to buy another one. Hopefully by then you wouldn't need one it anymore! My old IPL had replaceable cartridges, but this one doesn't.

The media could not be loaded.  I have an older hair removal laser that I stopped using because it is kind of big and bulky. This one is VERY lightweight and small enough to comfortably use with one hand.I LOVE that it literally comes with everything you need straight out of the box. The device is not wireless, so it does come with the power cord, safety goggles (they are VERY dark!), a razor, quick start guide, and a detailed instruction/FAQ booklet. It states that you don't have to shave before use, but that you will gain better results. I was excited to test out the function of it, so I did my arms to test as my hair is fairly short/light there anyway.It was super easy to use the functions. Press power to turn on, press again as many times to get to the intensity level you want to use (I started with a 4). There is a large button on the front that you can use to manually activate the flash each time, or you can press and hold for three seconds to turn it to auto (automatically flashes at intervals). I found auto most convenient for larger areas and would likely use manual for face, armpits, and bikini line. You can feel the heat of each flash, but I didn't find it uncomfortable at all. There was a cooling sensation from the metal/fan? that seemed to kind of cancel it out. I was able to do both forearms pretty quickly. Afterwards, I could feel that my arms were slightly more sensitive (think of just a barely there sunburn) but again, it wasn't very uncomfortable at all.Obviously I haven't seen a difference yet. Instructions say to begin by using it 2x a week for the first 1-4 weeks. I will update after a few weeks, but so far, I am pleased with initial use of the device and I'm excited to see the long-term results!

I have been using the laser hair removal device on my armpits twice weekly for the past three weeks. I shaved them the day before the first use, and I have to go near the mirror to barely see any new growth. I did not know before ordering that this one was not recommended for black and brown people, but I still decided to use it.I have never been tased and hope I never will, but I felt like I was being tased the first time. I became more tolerant after the second and third use. I am not hairy, so I am unsure whether to attribute the slow growth only to this device, but it indeed seems to help. The usage should decrease to once a week after a month, then once a month. I will keep monitoring the results.I have not had any adverse reactions so far.

I've been using this according to the instructions for about a month now, primarily for my unwanted facial hair and underarms. I have noticed a reduction in dark hair, but if you've plucked or waxed and your hair has lost pigment, it won't work on those.After one month, you reduce the usage to once per week. I hated it at first and find it relatively painful; maybe I'm just sensitive, and maybe it's the area. It doesn't hurt my legs at all (but I'm not tackling those. At least not yet).The cooling feature is nice, because it definitely feels hot on its own. I am seeing some results-thinner and slower growth-and I will continue using it as directed.

I have used this multiple times per week but it does not affect hair growth at all.

I didn't read the part that said it doesn't work on light colored hair, but that's okay, I can still use it on my legs I've just started and it does seem as if the growth is slowing down a bit. It's not painful to me either, I feel a bit of warmth with the flash, but that's it. The auto flash is a nice feature so you don't have to keep pressing a button, just change position.
