I had not used a paint pen like this since middle school but the moment I opened the cap I remembered the smell of paint pens. Is that bad? The pen has the classic 'marble in a can' sound when you shake it, and I shook mine for 5 minutes to make sure it was well mixed before first use. I gently pressed the tip down and watched the clean fiber tip start to turn silver with paint. Seconds later I was signing my name just to see how it looked and it worked great.I used this pen to refinish some of the silver lettering on various switches and dials in my car that had rubbed off over time. While the original silver was metallic like this pen, the new pen paint was brighter and "shinier" than the original I was replacing. Regardless, it worked great to restore the raised lettering and make the knobs look new again. I simply went over all the knobs so they all match and they now look like new and can be easily read. The paint dried flat (no bubbles or running), was smooth and did not transfer to my skin after it dried. Mission complete.

I love this. The color is really nice and its easy to use. Use in a well ventilated area.
