Rebel Unicorn: 1 (Rebel of the Otherworld) Paperback – Import, 23 February 2023

This might just be my favourite Brogan Thomas yet! It’s the first in a duology, but it actually follows the “Cursed Vampire” book in the Creatures of the Otherworld series.This book starts off about 9 years after the events of Cursed Vampire. Tru is a secret assassin working for the Hunters Guild, and she’s got a tricky case and ends up getting framed for a truly heinous crime. She’s absolutely heartbroken when the love of her life–-who rarely gives her the time of day–turns on her and believes her to be a monster. The angst in this book is sublime, and I absolutely ADORE her (new!) love interest. I love the irony of the fact that the angel is a heartless jerk and the demon treats her like a Queen.This book doesn’t end on a cliffhanger, but I’ll be reading the next in the duology immediately, regardless!

The Cursed Otherworld has blown me away!! All the twists, turns, laughs, and gushing I always hope for when I start a book. Now I'm finishing this one, I can't wait to start the next! Character and plot building at its very finest! I am so looking forward to Cursed Fae, and grateful that Tru's story is getting a proper shake! I hope for many more volumes to this fantastic (yet believable) Otherworld! I haven't been sucked into a world like this one in a minute, and I am savoring every paragraph! I absolutely love the connections of the other characters stories. Every one of them is so delectable! Getting to revisit them, and feel like you're in on all the goss without the tea getting spilled (haha UK joke) is just brilliant. Keep them coming, Brogan Thomas!!! I also love the subtle nods to the great modern stories (cough cough, Dexter, cough cough Demon Blade) I love it.

I love this book and I am glad I only started it after the next book in the series was already available, because I definitely wanted to follow up and get a conclusion. The book doesn't end with a cliffhanger per se, but for sure I wanted to know what happens next.I would recommend to first read Tru's book in the author's first series, but it's not absolutely necessary, but i enjoyed both very much!

What a brilliant read, enjoyed all of it! There were so many moments in this where I found myself laughing loudly in places where it made me look like a crazed lunatic 😂 must read!

Exceptional read. We met Tru in her prequel Cursed Vampire but she was a teenager finding her place in the world, here is Rebel Vampire is a strong woman who knows her place in this world. The story has many twist and turns that keep you reading. It's a page turner.I'm so looking forward to read more. Highly recommend it 😉
