I bought this book as a required text for one of my classes. So far it has been extremely helpful. It's easy to read, there are plenty of diagrams to aid in understanding certain concepts, and it definitely covers more than enough to be able to get ready for taking the CompTIA Security+ exam. Every chapter ends with a chapter summary, a review of key topics, a list of key words you should be able to define, review questions, and Case Studies (which answer are available for on the accompanying DVD). Excellent text to prepare; whether for the certification OR for class. Review: This book was just simply fun to read. The DVD containing the simulators and practice engine from Pearson takes it over the top. Definitely worth the investment.

Received the product. Installed and then tried to retrieve the practice test and it is not available. No phone numbers to call and only contact by email. On weekends no one works. Still waiting for support on this issue. Would not recommend. Very disappointed.

Seems dated. Not much in the way of performance based questions.
