Hunt
Excellent book! So exciting! Suspenseful! Not the usual billionaire and his boy! I have read many books from D. King and have loved them all!

I liked these characters
Ray was a good cop, working a serial killer case when he was forced to quit after he was framed for taking a bribe. Being a PI wasn’t his life goal but that is what he was stuck with.Andy’s life goal certainly wasn’t being a waiter. He wanted more but doesn’t have the money to get there. When Andy walks in on a man killing his roommate. He runs and winds up with Ray protecting him. While Ray hunts for the man that’s murdering young gay men they grow very close. Ray is given a chance to go back to being a cop. When he discovers that the killer is obsessed with him, it sheds a lot of new light on the investigation. They dig deeper and Andy’s life is put in jeopardy.I really liked this book. The authors brought the characters to life. I really hope we get more collaborations from them.

Awesome, Awesome AWESOME
I am a fan of J M Dabney but mystery, suspense, (horrible crimes against humans) is not my favorite genre. I get impatient and I want to skip to the end just to find out 'whodunit'. I restrained myself and it was totally worth the wait. Please, please collaborate again. This was so well written, intense and still had great characters to cheer for. I require a HEA and it was there.

Noir Mystery
The Hunt is a noir-style romantic mystery between an innocent waiter and the ex-cop turned PI who makes it his mission to protect him. The story should have been gripping, and some parts were, but for most of the book I just found myself not invested. Therefore, this was just a mediocre book for me - not bad but not great. I would still recommend it to anyone who enjoys noir-style mysteries.

Great MCs and riveting story!
I loved Ray as the older, harden detective who has the veneer of one of the old time detectives. Ray is a good detective who has friends on the wrong side of the law and knows that there is a serial killer killing young gay men. Unfortunately no one on the police force believe him except for the ME. Andy is a young man who goes to Ray for protection after walking in on the murder-in-progress of his best friend/roommate. Andy is scared that the killer will go after him, as I would be. I liked Andy although he had self esteem issues because he was not weak, he has ambitions for his life even if he was starting as a waiter. Great mystery and fabulous characters. Bradford sounds intriguing!!

This is a really good murder mystery, suspense book. The plot is good and I really like Ray, but for some reason I didn't really connect with Andy and the romance between them. The supporting characters of Rays old friends are great and there's potential for another book. Both authors are favourites of mine so I would totally buy a book two even if this one wasn't a favourite.

Suspenseful
This book gave me chills. It was dark and thrilling but the characters were fascinating. It was quite an adventure watching all the files play out. Loved it.

Suspenseful
This had a good amount of suspense and really caught you up in the crime drama factor. I really liked all of the characters and see a few openings for more books in the series. There were some typos and editing issues and that's why I gave it four stars.

Didn’t see that shocker!
A Serial Killer is on a killing spree. It was Detective Ray Clancy’s job to track him down and The Hunt was on 😉.He’s a dam good detective, but with his shady background and even more shadier ‘friends’ from his younger days, he’s not really trusted by his fellow detectives or his superiors. Then he’s ‘set up’, forced to resign and now working as a P.I.Andy Shay saw the dead and mutilated body of his flatmate and the Serial Killer....saw him.Can Ray remain professional, keep his hands off the much younger Andy and save him from being the next victim?Or is Andy really the next victim? Has Ray missed something?Because all those years of policing is telling him he has!!!I liked the suspense of it all. And even though I guessed where this was going, there was one shocker I didn’t see coming!Yeah, certain things weren’t addressed and also a couple of minor editing issues, but overall, a solid 4* read.If either of these authors are reading this review, Bradford needs his own storyline, please don’t make me get Ray to go on The Hunt to get it 😂😂😂

Not what I expected though I love a bit of gruesome!
I thought this was going to grip me from the start and so it did...however, it soon began to feel rushed when it could have been made into so much more! I was able to put the book down without a backward glance when Andy suddenly morphed into a female lead. Once it became all ‘Mills and Boon’ in my mind, it took a while to get back into the flow! It’s not terrible, there are so many books that I DNF because of this issue (What flips the switch? Who knows!) and many other reviewers have enjoyed and rated it highly but it just didn’t do it for me. Maybe I’m peeved that I paid for it, rather than borrowing it and borrowed another that I should have bought. Ah well!

Oh Wow !!
You just cannot out down this book once you start reading it. Such an amazing story which has absolutely everything going for it. There a serial killer targeting young boys and no one seems to be able to get any clues to work with, but when a waiter Andy’s life is threatened and the police seem to be brushing it under the carpet, he gets in touch with Ray an ex policeman. The two tirelessly along with some of Ray’s old associates to try and trap the killer. This is a definite must read, you won’t regret it

Ok
I enjoyed parts of this book but, I felt, there could have been more depth to the characters and the storyline was a bit of a cliche.

It was alright, but it didn't really made me care for the characters. The writing was kind of bold, for my taste. The transition from chapter to chapter wasn't smooth and how the story was written... How the characters told the story, it just didn't feel smooth. I can't describe it any better at the moment. The mystery was okay, but did have more potential.
