This Serger Delivers
I have been a Pfaff fan for over 30 years. The cost of a new Pfaff serger is almost $4000. The serger is really utilitarian. My Pfaff CoverLock 3.0 is older and temperamental with thin chiffon, thicker linens, denim and cotton. It can also be a threading monster. This KPCB, taken out of the box delivered remarkably. The instructions.....well.......like other products from China is dirt poor and difficult to comprehend. So do not expect much in its documentation....ever. Chinese manufacturers never up date operators manuals. But for the price you cannot argue that it performs well, and as long as you tie on new thread to new spools or colors, you may never have to thread it manually. Very easy, light weight too. The power switch for the light bulb lights up the machine like the tip of the Luxor in Las Vegas. I shut it off. The bulb is not recessed and shines in your eyes. Otherwise it saws through the thickest of fabrics, with all 4 threads without breaking. Recommended serger on a budget.

Everything work as advertised
This is an excellent tool for finishing fabric edges and for procedures requiring overlock stitching. It’s not intended for heavy industrial use, so if you have a large amount of continuous work, you’ll need a more robust machine. However, it’s perfectly suited for use in a small private workshop. It performs all its functions flawlessly. No issues with thread handling or stitching have been detected.

Threading is almost impossible with a broken machine
I’m soo irritated by this machine. I got this for Christmas and have tried every other week to use it and idk if it’s just mine but my knife was super lose when I got it which resulted in a lot of broken needles, the right needle won’t fit into the casing properly and I’ve even taken it in it’s nothing with me. The light on mine only stays on for a few minutes at a time and magically goes off and the machine has no ability to sew properly. Idk if it’s becuase it’s small but mine shuts off after 3 minutes of trying to sew and it’s IMPOSSIBLE to thread properly. Waiting for customer service to respond. This is my third email to them

Affordable and nice results
This is my 2nd serger. My 1st one was a refurb Brother, but stopped working after only a few uses. Sergers are complex machines, so I went with a more affordable option. To my surprise, this new machine arrived pre-threaded with all four spools ready to go!!! I did make a small mistake by forgetting to remove the tape, so two threads broke. Thankfully, with a quick YouTube tutorial, I found the threading process surprisingly easy. Once I got it set up, it worked like magic! It trims all my fabrics quickly and with perfect precision. Very pleased with this purchase!

Tricky to use
It's smaller than any other serger i've seen, but so tricky to use! Tension discs have no numbers on them, so you guess how much to turn it. Threading is extremely hard, everything is tiny and confusing. Machine left a ton of oil on my table when I lifted it up. Be careful - it can ruin your table! Thread kept breaking. Light is way too bright and shines in your eye instead of down unto the sewing surface. It's a cheap knock-off. I guess you get what you pay for.

Easy to use!!
My daughter was asking for an overlock machine for a while. She’s a beginner, and I wasn’t sure she could handle a complex overlock. Plus, I wasn’t ready to spend $400-$500 on a machine until she learns. I was really surprised how fast she was able to thread it and get it going. In 10 minutes she had a perfect overlock stitch. And on heavy denim fabric too! I know I could not have purchased a better machine for the price. Very happy with our new KPCB overlock!

Cheaply built.
It is very difficult to thread. I have used many brands of sergers in my lifetime. This serger is cheaply made and threading is way too difficult. Disappointed. I got less than what I paid for!

Great overlocker
It’s a shame it went on offer the day I received it. Works great.. a bit fiddly to thread the machine.. but a bit of perseverance it gets done. I order the long threading bits to thread the needle.. the one that came with it snapped, but I ordered the longer ones

works very well
wife is happy with this machine, too. Second machine I bought for her, to make her own dresses and clothes for the kids. The machine is simple but reliable. We are very happy with the purchase. Everything came correct and worked well since first time we switched it on. It happened to come with 4 thread spools, for free. The machine was fully tested before dispatched. It came with a test fabric still hanging with threads. All good. Much better when it comes tested :-) Fully recommended.
