An ok snack
Pleasant flavor. Texture is a little jerkyish. I would buy these once in a while if the price was closer to $2-2.50 per tin. Current price is not worth it.One more criticism: These don't have a pull tab. You need to open them with a can opener and they are do not work well with either of my hand-cranked can openers.

some of the tins are kind of a mess inside
I have eaten a few of these tins, the flavor is consistent and pretty good but one of the tins contained what looked like the scraps off of the processing line. Tasted fine but not visually appealing.

Sweet side
I love eel from Japan. I’ll eat the fresh. The frozen. The dried. And the canned. Everyone has its own personality. They just have to fix the tin can from opening much easier.

Is this eel?
I was expecting this eel to be similar to other canned eel that I’ve had before but this an oddly grainy, overly sweet, seemingly breaded mess. It was not at all what I wanted and I couldn’t even finish the first can.
