Praktica Luxmedia WP240 Waterproof Digital Compact Camera - Orange (20 MP,4x Optical Zoom)

A wonderful powerful compact little camera. Great for keeping in your pocket when out adventuring. The only negative is for the cost the camera doesn’t come with any protective case. Luckily when you power on the camera the lens is behind a retractable shutter - so it has some protection to the most delicate part. Otherwise this was purchased for a teenager who I don’t want to use the camera on the phone - this can shoot 20mill megapixels - so it blows most if not all the smartphones on the market.

I only just got the camera so this review is based on my initial impressions. From simple testing at home this seems to be a really good camera. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a front lens cap and therefore I am concerned that the front of the lens may get scratched.Other than that minor down point this camera seems very good, and it's waterproof. So this is a good replacement camera for situations when I am too scared to take my very expensive SLR (watersports and sandy environments). I'm looking forward to using it on my next holidays...

I will have to return this. It worked perfectly the first two times I used it, but on the third & fourth time the lens completely fogged up. I stood on the beach for about 20 mins waiting for it to clear & when I got in to the sea to take photos it fogged up all over again. Couldn't take any photos.The photos when it works, are sharp & better than expected. A bit slow though when trying to take a surf shot or a moving object like a wave. It's also hard to see the screen when you frame the shot, you have to point & hope for the best a lot of the time as the reflection is stronger than the screen image.But the fogging up ends all photography fun before it even starts.

Fantastic little robust value camera. Bought for child as the kids camera are more of a toy in my opinion. I'd be happy to have this as my point and shoot camera. Dropped it from around 2 metres on to rough gravel, and only sustained small chip/scratch. Very easy to use. Battery is surprisingly good and lasts more than enough time. Dont lose the charger as its propriety to the camera. Highly recoment at the low price I paid.

Took it on holiday to Egypt and took some really good shots whilst swimming in the Red Sea, easy to use and easy to download to my iPad with an adapter. Over all very pleased with it.

Really pleased with the picture quality and versatility of this camera. I didn't check that it included a memory card, which I have since purchased, and I also had an appropriate plug.

Are all these reviews fake?This is a very low quality camera, ordered a replacement after the first one lasted for about 10 min of use and second one broke down the same way after 2 days...about the same time of usage. I would not recommend it at all

Overall good easy to use camera. I don't mind colour or shape, it's a fun camera for the pool. My only issue is to charge the battery you have to leave it on the camera, there is no separate charging unit. Also, you need to use a specific usb connector not mini, micro or usb-c.
