These high quality neodymium rare earth magnet discs are the strongest type of permanent magnet commercially available. Neodymium rare earth magnets are graded according to their strength on a scale ranging from N28 to N52. Our N45 rare earth magnets are at the top end of that spectrum and measure 1.5 inches (appx 38mm) in diameter and 1/16 inch (appx 1.5mm) in thickness. This version has 42% more surface space with a thinner profile than 1.26" magnets. They have a north/south polarity on the flat surfaces. Due to the remarkable strength of the magnets they can be challenging to separate from one another and are packaged with plastic separators to make it easier to do so. Our package of 12 strong magnets gives a good supply to use on a host of projects from fridge magnets to craft projects and kitchen and garage organization projects. If you are looking for a strong rare earth magnet that is thin, this is the one for you. To prevent damage to the magnets they should not be allowed to slam together. IMPORTANT NOTE: It isn't uncommon for persons new to neodymium magnets to underestimate their strength! Keep that in mind and take care to prevent pinching of fingers when these powerful magnets are brought into proximity. To prevent breakage in taking them from the package, take advantage of the plastic separators to slide one off. Move it smoothly far enough away from the stack to get out of the magnetic field/pull. Keep away from children and pacemakers.
