Popp POPE012501 Door Opener Controller, Green

I bought this product to use to control an e-strike for our side-gate.It took a fair bit of fiddling around to properly wire-in, and further fiddling to get it to be recognised by our Smartthings hub. Even more fiddling was required in the SmartThings 'Graph' portal to get it to actually control this unit.Following all this fiddling ... it works...sort of. About 25% of the time when you call for the gate to unlock nothing happens. Sometimes you can nudge it back into operation by opening the Smartthings app and 'refreshing' the status of the device. In some cases that fixes things, in others you just have to wait ... it might start working again later.As with all things related to Smart Home tech, cobbling together solutions with components from different manufactures can be hit and miss. I'm happy that it works as well as it does, and it's the only thing I could find on the market that did this job. Whether it would be more reliable with a different hub ... I don't know.

Very quickly powered up using a 9V battery and paired with my hub.WIred into my existing intercom & was able to open my gate.Used a device handler from the SmartThings community.
