Easy to use for me.

I like using these as you can fully control the pressure, the metal balls with gel in them move very smoothly over the skin, and can move at whatever speed and in whatever direction you want.As others have noted, the metal balls stay cold and feel cold even without putting them in the freezer as directed. It's more difficult to get them warm, which I prefer but they do warm up some for a short time.They are much less effective on sore and tight muscles than a decent pressure massager of any size, so this is only my go-to when I want to work on a muscle in a gentle way without all the noise and force. It is smoother to use and quieter than any electric massager, which is nice when you want a relaxing experience.Overall, I thought they'd be more impactful than they seem to be so far. But now knowing when I like using them, I am glad to have them and appreciate how easy it is to just grab one or both and start working on muscles without all the noise. And I do like them when heated, though that's not a grab and go experience.

Good massage roller, well made and sturdy, helped a lot with my shoulder pain.

This device is simply a metal coated ball that sits in a holder that allows the ball to rotate. You either use it cold by putting it in the freezer first or you can use it warm. For the warm, we weren't sure how to get it to a good temperature and no instructions were provided for how to do that.We surmise that you put a heating pad or something else warm on top of it so it absorbs the heat and then you use it? It obviously can't go in a microwave due to the reflective qualities of it.Edit --- We found on another manufacturer's listing that for the heated massage you can submerge the ball in warm/hot water to get it to heat up. ---It does a nice job and feels good as it kneads the muscles but due to the lousy construction, we keep fearing the ball is going to drop out of it and break.The metal qualities of the ball does allow it to hold the temperature slightly longer than a regular ball would but in our opinion, not enough to justify the high price.Overall it did work but at the price it sells for the part that you hold should feel, look, and be constructed nicer than it is.For those reasons we give it a 4-star review but still do recommend it.

For someone who gets frequent headaches and migraines this feels so good cold. It stays cold for so long too! It defiantly helps with painful knots in my neck, shoulders, and under my scapula. After the first use I felt a significant decrease in pain and increase in range of motion.

Summary: Seemed like a gimmick, but my wife likes it.Details -Made in: ChinaInstructions: None, just some features and photos on the box.I was trying to rub some knots out of my wife's shoulders and my thumbs were getting tired, so I asked if I could try this ball I just got. The first few moments it was too cold, so I warmed it up in some hot water in the sink while I tortured her shoulders some more. Then I dried it off and started rolling. She said now that it warm it felt much better. I could also press hard enough finely that she told me to ease up. It didn't get all the knots out, but I never do either. She did say that the firmer points were better than my thumbs and the warmth also helped.So, she is happy; I'm happy. Only downside is it is pretty pricey for a gel filled ball in a cheap plastic frame.
