The product is so easy to use. It goes a long way, takes well, has no strong smell, does not burn your scalp and provides a beautiful coverage, allowing your hair's own personality to come through. In other words it is not flat and heavy, it covers without smothering.

First let me say I don’t write many reviews. But this product shocked me so much that I had to take a moment to write. I have been using the same brand of dye for a very long time. I thought they are all the same. The brand I normally use is Ion and they were out of the shade I needed so I decided to try this brand. OMG what a difference. I did everything exactly the same as I usually do. I am 70 and have the normal thinning lackluster hair but very little gray(good genes I guess). My normal color is this mousy brown so when I dye it, I go dark brown. It just looks better with my skin color. I cannot tell you how shiny, bouncy and healthy my hair came out! Makes me want to color my hair every day. I don’t know how long it will last but my hair looks better than it has in years!!

I used Jet Black previously and it was by far the best black hair dye I've used, it STICKS, definitely permanent, and looked really nice. I have a white money piece and it never bled into the money piece, I separate the money piece the first time I wash after dying but after that it was good enough I could wash it all together with no bleeding. I decided to go for something that isn't as flat as the jet black now that I'd let it grow out a while and since my hair is a dark brown I went for the darkest neutral violet brown thinking it would come out a deep brown almost black color that skews more towards purple. Like the swatch in the image. Nope. It was very purple going in but now is a very red color, and is somehow even lighter in value than it was before I dyed it. In the pics you can see the ends of my hair are still black from the jet black dye but the rest of it is a very red color. I've gotten asked a couple times at work if I dyed my hair burgundy or if I put maroon in my hair. I guess I'll be going back to the jet black, I don't trust any of the swatches now. Also it bled purple into my money piece where I tuck the ends of my hair behind my ears.

I have been using this product for over five years as a way to naturally cover up those sneaky gray hairs. The dark brown shade has worked well to hide the lighter hairs that no longer blend in this product works quickly, and I use hydrogen peroxide as the developer it saves time and money as I no longer go to the salon to have a dozen or so hairs colored! Beware it will stain your countertops, so wear gloves and a dark shirt and cover the countertop!

I'm 45 and love the Age Beautiful product. My hair is volumized and the color is consistent every single time. I do an 1:1 with a 20 volume developer and have tenacious grays and coarse wavy curls.
