First of all, I am one of those people in the medium/large "gutter". With a 41" chest and 35" waist I am in the middle (look at sizing chart) between medium and large. With that said, I played it safe and ordered a large. It fits perfectly, maybe TOO well for a large! Front pockets large enough for gloved hands. lightweight but warm enough so far, being in the 30's.I am worried about the thin nylon front zipper. I have had two inexpensive jackets within the past couple of years that have lost zipper "teeth" and it's annoying to try and fully zip them up. So I guess time will tell with this one. The outer pocket zippers are the same but I'm not as worried about them.A somewhat annoying feature, to me anyway, is that the inner pocket has a velcro fastener at the top. I don't plan on standing on my head or putting anything in the pocket that may jump up and out so this will have to go as I don't want to fiddle with a fastener while trying to put my cell phone away. This may be useful for people who fling the coat on a chair or bend way down or something so no points off for that.The one point off is only for the zipper. If it lasts a year I will be back and edit this.EDIT: 7/9/2015 - Zipper still holding up well.EDIT: 1/8/2016 - Zipper started to get stuck a while back but "repaired itself" and works well again! Small outer shell tear under one arm. Still a nice warm coat even in the coldest of New England weather! Not even thinking of getting a new coat yet.

This is really a good product for such good price. The embroidery on it is optional. I had to call customer service to make sure about it. I think it should have more than one pocket inside the jacket. I think it should have one in each side because guys carry this days wallet and cell phone, the outer pockets are made for the hands. this would be a nice update for this jacket. Overall it is very good, warm enough for winter, have a hood for snowy days, and good quality. Go a head and buy one.

I ordered one of these jackets from Guide Gear, because I didn't realize at the time you could purchase it on Amazon. It was for a work jacket. I liked the looks, and it reminded me of my favorite Helly Hansen jacket. I ordered black, and got green. Sent it back, and received another green. And then, one more green jacket that showed today! Great customer service, but what a pain!! So this time I called, and was informed that they fixed the problem by adding a warning: "Black color may have dark green tint. Sorry, no choice." It looks like more than a green tint to me. I haven't warn any of them, because I don't like green! But it looks like a nice jacket, except for the GREEN! I will probably send it back, and wait for the black jackets to maybe actually be black some day. I attached a pic of the "green tint".

I love these jackets, I have two of them in my closet right now, can't use ether one of them, because the cheap zipper, after a year of use, will not stay closed,would be willing to pay a little more, if they would put a brass zipper on them, that would last as long as the jacket, will probably buy another one, because they are great jackets,,but the zipper needs work.
