Winner of Cannes Best Director in 2022, Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, The Handmaiden) returns with a seductive romantic thriller that takes his renowned stylistic flair to dizzying new heights. Review: Excellent Hitchcock Inspired Korean Thriller -One The Year's Best - One of the best films of the year, and winner at Cannes for best director Park Chan-wook, Decision To Leave (2022) is an artistic, captivating, exceptionally well done thriller and a great entry in Korean cinema. A complex and suspenseful well written story, visually haunting, with superb acting and direction. Definitely reminiscent of Hitchcock's Vertigo with a touch of Basic Instinct (with more class), and much more refined and restrained than the director's typical work, yet passionate, dreamy, and very dark. My favourite Korean film since Parasite (2019). Special features include some interviews and behind the scenes content. Highly recommended! Review: Masterpiece - Park Chan-Wook best work yet

My favorite movie in recent years.
I could gush about the visual storytelling, the warmth, the humor, and so much more regarding Decision To Leave. Taste is going to be subjective, and even more so when it comes to the works of Park Chan-Wook. I myself happen to be a fan. This presentation is stellar. The look of the disc and the sound are incredible. I happen to love this story and how it unfolded. I also found myself deeply caring for the characters. If you give it a shot, I hope you enjoy it a much as I did. If not, it will at least be a very pretty journey to disappointment.

Really Interesting, Subtle Film
I saw it first at a sparsely attended matinee at a local art house cinema, then watched it on video with my spouse. We’ll watch it again - glad to own a copy.

Best director working today
Amazing movie and kudos for casting Tang Wei. Park Chan-wook’s surrealism, gritty realism, cinematography, amazing soundtracks, and unusual locations make for exceptionally rich cinema. Think “Ghost “ with brains

Difficult to review.
Korean Romeo and Juliet, a love tragedy. I absolutely fell in love with Tang Wei as I assume was the director's intent. 4 stars because it was hard to follow, especially while reading subtitles.

SURPRISING AND THOUGHTFUL
Another fine example of film-making from Korea. Great story and excellent actors make for a complex web of emotions and life experience. What begins as a murder investigation turns into a deep reflection on the nature of love and human emotions. Strongly recommended

Decision to Leave DVD.
Saw this movie in the theater. Had to purchase it for home viewing. Really great murder mystery, with suspense, drama, and action included. Keeps you guessing as to the motives of the parties involved, their roles, along with their entangled relationship, as the story unfolds to its final end.

Great movie, very nice package
Well made, well performed film noir style murder mystery. The print is very good quality, the film looks greaet. Several good extras, maybe not as much as in a Criterion film, but interesting ones.
