Instructions need to be more detailed. All in all the completed project is a success with those that received them.

The "instructions" are not instructions targeted for the project purchased. It's just the basic to learn stitching. It's so confusing!The video is useless.

Well Poop, and pickle and potato too! I got this kit solely for the poop because I teach middle school and they will think it's hilarious! The written directions are missing some details of when to do certain things like adding the stuffing so I'll need to watch the included videos (which I don't care to do, I'd rather just see the instructions). There are lots of extras included with this kit including a sewing kit and a measuring tape, though I'm not sure why they are included, I'll use them anyway. I love that this kit has beginner style yarn as it is is so much easier to use and to learn to crochet on. However, I don't care for the hook as it is 2 headed (one size on each end) and isn't comfortable to use. There are no backs for the eyes so I may use different ones as I plan for my middle schoolers to be able to have these on their desks during class and they may pick at the eyes. The sayings that are held are done on nicely laminated stiff cards so they should last.

I had high hopes for this kit but it's just terrible. I'm an experienced crocheter and have made many amigurumi.PROS: smooth stitch markers that don't snag, the included scissors and lockable, retracting measuring tape are nice bonuses, the tube style yarn is of high quality and in pretty colors, included tapestry needles are metal, the printed, illustrated beginner guide is a great intro to crochet and includes many techniques beyond what these patterns require, included small signs are cardboard with holes pre-punched, qr code that links to instructional videos is includedCONS: pretty much everything else, and this kit is not good for beginning crocheters.First and most importantly, the kit is ruined by the inclusion of a double-ended hook with tiny hook sizes---one end is so small it doesn't even have a US equivalent. These hooks are better suited to making lace with crochet thread, they're far too small for beginners to work with and are also too small for the weight of the provided yarn (see pics). Even with all my years of experience and even though I often work with fingering weight yarn, I never use hooks this small.The yarn works up quickly and glided smoothly when I switched to my own size G hook, but the resulting piece ends up larger than the kit maker intended and requires more stuffing than intended; there's enough yarn to make each doll using a G hook, but not enough stuffing. Proportions of the sign and eyes are off when using a G hook also.The printed pattern is not step-by-step illustrated, and even though all three dolls begin with a magic ring only the Pickle pattern includes the ring in step one; you'd think the Potato and Poo are crocheted flat and seamed if you were a beginner who's never worked in the round.The pattern presentation is flawed. As shown in the second to last picture, each doll pattern is presented in a table where some table rows are 1:1 with pattern rows (pattern rows each have their own, individual row in the table) and some table rows combine multiple pattern rows into a single table row. The inconsistency makes it easy to miss the fact that you're supposed to repeat certain rows. I was on row 18 when I noticed I'd missed both repeat instances, had to rip out half my work, and lost all motivation to complete the Potato project.The included push-in, peg style eyes don't have backs, you're supposed to hot glue them in. A glue stick for a mini glue gun is included, but no glue gun so you must supply either your own mini glue gun or eye backs.A couple pieces of stiff, white felt and a mini sewing kit with needles, different colors of thread and a couple buttons (like you find in a hotel room) are included, but not called for in the directions.Finally, at the time of my order the listing images showed all three dolls with the same "do your thing" sign. As shown in my pic, the sign provided for the poo has a censored swear. People who weren't expecting this might be bothered by it.Cannot recommend, which is too bad because the finished dolls look very cute in the listing.

the kit was ok but kinda cheap, the poop didnt seem to resemble what it was supposed to, the potato and pickle are fine the hook is super cheap, however the yarn feels nice and the tape measure was a nice touch. there is enough yarn to make all 3 characters. i dont think it's for 1st time crocheters but it is certainly beginner friendly. i also very much dislike not getting backs for the eyes you get.
