NT Labs NT156 Ammonia Analysis Kit

Bought as my test strips don’t test for ammonia. I was quite pleased to see how the colour chart works, seems a lot more accurate than strips.I do quite wish these liquid tests would come with a pipette to measure and suck up your sample water but I suppose if people buy their own it saves potential wastage.I have only added a little bit of fish food, no fish so this level of ammonia seems fairly accurate.

I like this test kit because the colour changes are quite clear. Much better than trying to decide between different shades of see through. In an ideal world it would be more sensitive but I haven’t seen any others that actually are. This is perfect for cycling a new tank. I don’t test for ammonia after setup but would use this as a check if I had a problem.

Box damaged when arrived through post but product worked much better than a test strip. Easy to read

Best ammonia test I have tried. This is the only ammonia test I have come across that can tell the difference between the ammonia and the safe chemicals the ammonia removing additives turn it into. I used it and got a high reading then I added API ammo lock and re tested and it read zero. The ammo lock bottle stated that ammonia tests would still read high after its use because they cant tell the chemicals apart, clearly this one can.I have bought a number of NT labs products and all are excellent

Ammonia test kit by NT labs is the best and easiest ammonia test kit I’ve had for doing water tests on my aquarium, instructions are easy to follow and it’s a very simple and quick test to carry out.

I use this alongside an API kit and the ammonia readings are very close to API, so its accuracy is perfect for anyone cycling a tank or just testing ammonia levels.Claimed a measuring device was in there, none in the box though easily resolved

A really easy test to carry out and much clearer and easier to use than the strip tests.
